Wei Wuxian was now taken to the large common Hall of the Cloud Recess. He was tied with Zidian and couldn't move a single limb. His whole body was sore and aching - as if thousand needles were pricking through his body. He didn't take any food or water for last few hours and his head was spinning. But he couldn't care less.

The Lan cultivators, Jin cultivators, Yunmeng cultivators, and all other cultivators who were there during the second seize of burial mounds, were taken to cloud Recess for temporary shelter and to take the ultimate decision. They have gathered to decide Wei Wuxian's punishment - how the Yiling Patriarch should be treated for the crimes he had committed.
Through out the whole way, Wei Wuxian was dragged to Cloud Recess tied like a prisoner. He didn't have the ability to run away with the aching body still shivering from the slashes of Zidian, but the hold of Zidian on his body tightned with each passing time - as if trying to break him into pieces.
Lan Xichen : Ladies and gentlemen we have successfully caught the Yiling Patriarch. I would like to take your opinion regarding his punishment. As he did not do much harm till now, so we have to decide the just punishment for him.
Lan Xichen said calmly.

But even Lan Wangji turned his head away from him. Wei Wuxian still couldn't fathom what is happening. The person whom he had relied himself upon, has mistrusted him so easily. He did not even listen to him once. Did he not promise to listen to me always?.
He felt broken.
"He killed my parents. I should have penetrated by sword deeper into his stomach and kill him." Jin Ling spat.
"I'm glad you didn't do that A-Ling, or else he wouldn't get the right punishment" Jin Guangyao said with a smile. An evil one.
"I think we should torture him a little and then make his body incapable of containing any resentful energy and send him to exile" Jin Guangyao said.
"He deserves death." Jiang Cheng poured a fist of wrath upon the soul whom his heart had once considered as an eternal companion, but now nothing more than a devious foe.
"We could not kill him. That would be unethical, he didn't kill anyone yet in this lifetime, so I think Jin Guangyao's proposal is just. Wangji, what is your opinion? " Lan Xichen said.
Lan Wangji was silent this whole time. "The deserved punishment should be inflicted and no mercy should be shown."
He said with rage and revulsion; only Lan Xichen and Wei Wuxian were able to pick up the emotions from his stoic voice.
