Lan Wangji's throbbing heart was beating fast, as he gazed at the lady with flickering eyes. His quivering heart and clouded mind was constantly volleyed by the ambushes of ominous and menacing apprehensions.
"So rejoiced in celebrating the defeat of so-called monster, and bringing justice to the world. So rejoiced in having the guts to even sacrifice your love in name of justice. So proud of your 'glorious' deeds, aren't you Hanguang-Jun? "
Lan Wangji frowned. His inexplicable eyes bored through Xiuyang, as he leered at her with questioning, demanding, authoritative gaze. His piercing glare was enough to shiver the cold, unshakable mountains, but Xiuyang was more than unfazed, let alone dread the diring glare. She stared at Lan Wangji with meaningful, yet sardonic look, and averted her gaze with a scoff, as if feeling iffy to even spare a glance at those honey eyes; as if she regrets spending her gaze. Dripping hatred was tracing along her vengeful, derisive eyes.
Lan Wangji was least bothered about the disrespectful and insulting regard transpired by the lady, and didn't shift his gaze a slight bit; the fire in his eyes was still lit by the flaring demand of his commanding inquiry. Suspicion was frosting in his heart, as it was constantly shook by the waft of sinister, eery qualm.
The desire to conquest the 'meaning' of that meaningful gaze from the lady was conspicuously sneering in his mind."You are asked something. We are sparing you because you are a woman, or else not even your shadow would have been spared in Cloud Recess. " The long-restrained wrath has finally surfaced from the cold Jade's trepidated heart. Rage was vivid in his aura. This time it felt like his life had been played and toyed with.
His life? His...
Lan Wangji's eyes widened with horror as he jolted his head to stare at the lady, who threw a glare at him with a smirk.
"What are you waiting for Hanguang-Jun? Still dreaming about wedding me and ravishing my body? What's that look for young master Lan? Where are your high class manners? " She laughed breezily with a mocking and satirical tint.
Wei ying...
Without triffling with time any further, Lan Wangji's legs involuntarily ran towards the dungeons, where his life had been caged. His shaky heart is throbbing, beating with galloping pulse, and his spine was turning cold with each step nearing the dungeon.
The dungeon was as dark as the shrouded obsolete cave, where no trace of sunlight percolated into. Rusty smell, thick, shabby air, undulated floor, smell of gore lurking along the marshy walls; the air of the place was strong enough to throb ones heart with an eery fraught.
"WEI YING! " He shouted out. His baritone voice echoed like gurgling waves through the misty air of the silent and hushed dungeon, but no response came.
Lan Wangji doesn't know where the person he is searching for was locked in - exactly which unit and which cell. He frantically roved around the dungeon, his honey eyes flickering and glistening intermittently.
"WEI YING! " The dungeon was as hushed as a repudiated forest.
Where are you? You are angry with me right? I know...I am sorry... I am coming to you get you Wei Ying, just hold on for few more moments.
He ran from door to door of each and every cell of the dungeon, but didn't get even a glimpse of the bright jewel amid the darkness.
I know you are shining like a jade even amid this darkness. I promise I will never let that sheen fade away Wei Ying. I will not spare that Jin.
A sudden realisation flashed across his mind. Jin Guangyao... He would never show any mercy to his foe; his savage heart would urge him to procure severity in every gruesome way possible.
