I tacked up Star in an english saddle and bridle. I was headed to go meet up with Lucy and her mom for the trail ride. I grab the lead rope I had on the filly I bought at the auction and rode off. Lucy and her mom waved at me.
"Hi." I coolly say.
"Hello." Lucy's mom says. Lucy admires the filly I have next to me.
"So, Lucy. I have this filly, but I cannot care for her any more. If your mom is fine with it, I'm giving her to you." I say with a smile. Lucy gasps,
"Really?" She asks me. I nod. She hugs the filly and thanks me. After that we are on the trail. I'm not really focusing well. I can't stop thinking about Ally, Linda and Shaylin. I wonder how she is doing.
I remember her horse. His name is Eclipse Dancer, right? He was a nice horse. I miss him too. Even Dream liked him. It's surprising because Dream rarely likes horses. Oh My Gosh! I totally forgot!
Today is Eclipsw Dancers birthday. Oh, I need to do and see him right after this. Maybe I'll see Shaylin. I've missed her so much. Last time I saw her was when I went back on the run 3 months ago. I do hope I see her.
I slip back into reality. "Hey Meg? You wanna race?" Lucy asks me.
"Sure." We are going to race to a tree in the middle of the field and back. When we go It's like Star and I are just blurs. I win the race, but Lucy came close. At the end of the trail I gallop to Linda's ranch. I see Shaylin with a sad expression in front of her horses stall.
"I would think you should be more excited for your horses birthday." I say. She jumps and sees me.
"Meg?" is all she's managing to say.
