I lay awake that night thinking of the grullo bachelor stallion. He had a star on his forehead.
"That's it!' I said to myself, "I'll name him Star."
He was very active. I saw him bucking and playing around like a psycho. Star was lovely. The sun was rising so I went to explore the barn. It wasn't in bad shape. The hay loft didn't have any hay or food in it.
I had to go and buy some. Great. It's a good thing I dyed my hair and cut it to shoulder length. I rode Dream to about one mile away from town. The tack/pet store was the first store I saw. I got timothy pellets and a bale of bermuda hay. It was a lot to carry.
On Dream, I set the bags of pellets on my lap and the hay bale in my hand on the side of Dream. Back at the barn I gave some hay to both Buck and Dream. I took Buck out tackless to see Star after he ate. We approach the field and I dismount.
"Stand." I commanded. Star was still acting like a psycho. I laughed at him. He noticed me and just stood still. I approached him slowly. I remembered I had a carrot in my pocket and held it out to him.
He scarfed it down. I put my hand on his head. He stood still for a second then ran off. I was very proud of myself. The next day I would see him again.
"Could I really train him?" I asked myself. It's going to take a lot of work. I really want this.
