To anyone who cares, I have to change the symbol for (Y/N)'s POV cuz my phone doesn't recognize it

Dream had been dragging you around for the past few hours so that you would be able to get matching outfits to blend in. You were now wearing a similar shirt and vest to his and the same cloak but in your favourite colour.   Unlike Dream, you hadn't bothered to pull your hood over your head. A ghost's eyes glow red in the dark, and that would probably freak Dream out.

Speaking of Dream, he had explained that the reason he was dragging you all over the place was that he wanted it to look like the two of you were from the same AU. He apparently realized this after he already bought all his clothes.

Of course, you couldn't actually put these on. Your body was just a projection of your soul. But you could slightly change how that protection looked. It's not like Dream would be able to tell the difference.

'Aren't you hungry?' you signed to Dream. He smiled.

"Thank you for your concern, (Y/N), but don't worry about me. I'll be alright," he responded. "Skeletons don't even have stomachs, anyway. I don't need to eat." You frowned.

'I don't think that's how it works.'

"You're getting really good at signing, (Y/N)! Keep it up!" he exclaimed, obviously trying to change the subject. You scowled, slightly.

Sometimes the living tend to overlook the gift of life, and you were not going to let him starve himself. However, Dream could be stubborn when he wanted and there wasn't much you could do as a ghost, besides nagging him. You weren't quite sure what to do with him.

'If you're not hungry, you can just say so."

"Are you hungry, (Y/N)?" You shook your head. "Are you sure? When's the last time you ate?" About 9 years ago, but that wasn't important.

'I'll eat when you eat,' you said instead.

"I told you, I don't need to."

'I'll let you off for now,' you stated, frowning. He gave an uneasy smile and opened a portal to the next AU.

"Let's go!" You nodded, hopping in and waiting for him to follow you.

'This AU is beautiful. What's it called?' you asked Dream, fascinated.

"This is Outertale, specifically, a True Pacifist timeline," he replied. "I'm glad you like it."

'The stars are so pretty. I haven't seen stars like this since...' you trailed off. You hadn't seen stars like this since the day you died...

"Are you okay?" You nod quickly.

'I wanted to become an astronomer and study the stars for a living, but I had to drop out of school due to... personal issues,' you lied. Well, maybe it wasn't entirely a lie.

"I see... I didn't mean to make you upset."

'It's alright. It's just something I missed,' you assured him. 'Besides, I've never seen them this close before!' You smiled.

"Well, I have no doubt you'd have made a great astronomer, (Y/N)!"

'Thank you.'

"Anyway, I brought us here because I wanted to test something," Dream explained.

'What is it?'

"I... I want to see if people will recognize me."

'Are you some kind of celebrity?' you asked, 'Are you trying to hide from the paparazzi?' He laughed.
