Dear Runt
They sent me back to the base further from the fighting. Again. Out of all the bases I've been deployed to, I hate this one the most. It's too quiet, and there's never enough people to make it feel inhabited. It's lonelier... again. At least this time I have something of an apprentice tailing me. Silent, very astute, asks good questions. Although, they don't seem overly interested in doing anything other than medicine. Which is fine, I should applaud her work ethic, but sometimes I catch myself thinking that there's a ghost following me around instead of a person. It should be expected with being at war and all, only they know the horrors they may, or may not, have faced. On to other news! I heard that your squad was finally making it's way up again. I do believe that you may run into the little base I'm set up in. I hope so, it would be nice to see a familiar face. Or maybe I'm just hoping to have an actual conversation with someone.
Impatiently waiting your potential arrival,
Roo
