Everything about the ocean was beautiful. The sky was clear, the water was warm, and the cool breeze was perfect. Tyson thought this would soon change. Better enjoy this while it lasts. He said to himself in his head.
A few hours have passed since he left shore. When he looks back, he doesn't see it. Was he scared? Yes, of course he was. He was going into what the rest of the team called 'Bermuda Triangle 2'. The weather seemed fine. He didn't understand why everyone went missing. He started to think it wasn't the weather.
Suddenly, his radio chirped. "Tyson? You there? How's it looking out there?" A familiar voice came through it. It was the woman who encouraged him to sign for the mission earlier. He reached over to the radio. "This is Tyson. Everything looks fine."
"Any sign of meteorological anomalies?"
"No. Nothing but clear skies."
"Alright. Make sure you call in any dark clouds or anything new."
"Copy that."Everything remained fine for several minutes until Tyson noticed some dark clouds forming ahead. He grabbed the radio again and spoke into it.
"I'm seeing some storm clouds ahead."
"Anything else?"
"No, nothing at all."
"Get a bit closer and tell me if there's anything strange going on. If you don't find anything, just come back."
"On it."Nothing much changed again until he got closer to the clouds. He noticed very frequent lightning and thunder coming from it. He drove closer to get a better look. Very dark clouds, bright frequent lightning, and loud thunder, this was no ordinary storm, it didn't even appear on the radar until he got close.
"This is Tyson again, this storm is very strange, nothing like I've ever seen before." A few moments passed and no response came. "This is Tyson, do you copy?" Still nothing. "Hello?" There was no response. Maybe I just went out too far... This storm IS quite powerful after all. He thought to himself as he began to turn around. When he started to face away from the storm, his boat suddenly buckled as the wind pushed him back towards the storm. The waves kicked up and continued to drag the boat closer to the storm clouds. Tyson began to panic when water crashed against the side of the boat and covered the deck in a splash of water. The rain was pouring like bits of glass repeatedly poking his skin. He could barely see as the sun was covered by the dark blanket of thick clouds.
It got colder and colder with each passing second. Tyson noticed something white in the dark, foggy distance. It was an island... covered in snow. He could barely notice it was out of place with everything else happening around him. Suddenly, something knocked the ship from underneath and sent Tyson in the air a few feet before landing back hard on the deck, knocking him unconscious.
The ship continued to float toward the island until it collided with the ice surrounding it. Tyson lapsed in and out of consciousness, looking up at the much calmer white overcast sky as snow gently landed on his face only for a moment before everything went dark again. His boat rocked slightly. In response, he opened his eyes again, unsure of how much time had passed, and saw dark silhouettes of people surrounding him. Tyson felt pressure under his arms and legs as he felt weightlessness everywhere else. The silhouettes carried him out of the boat and onto the snowy ice, then everything went black again.
