Every morning when mom comes home from work at 6:00 she unlocks the door, locks it behind her when she steps inside, and walks right into her room to go to sleep. I make breakfast for all of us.

"Heaven! Come eat!"

It's 9:30. She's usually up by now. She likes to go to bed early so she can wake up early and get her day started sooner. I, on the other hand, like to stay up late and sleep in. Mom always says I "Sleep half the day away."

Mom made her way to the kitchen and took a seat by a plate of food. She wakes up to eat and spend some time with Heaven and I then goes back to sleep for a while.

"Good morning mom."

I walked over to her, kissed her forehead, and told her I loved her.

"Have you yelled for Heaven to eat yet?"

"Yeah. She must still be asleep because she never came downstairs."

"That's unlike her. She's usually up by now."

"I'll go wake her up, Mom. You just continue to eat."

I was walking up the stairs and quietly singing a song when I made it to her door and opened it.

"Heaven, wa- HEAVEN!"

She wasn't in her bed and her window was open. She always makes sure her window is locked. She's a very cautious person and it's not like her to just up and leave out her window in the middle of the night.

"Mom! Heaven isn't here and her window is open"
I yelled while running down the stairs.

"WHAT!? You can't be serious."

"Mom, I swear. Why would I lie about that?"

"Okay well where could she have gone?"

"I don't think she chose to go anywhere. I think she was kidnapped."

"KIDNAPPED? Do you know something I don't?"

"Mom I need to talk to you. When you were at the store there was a man by the name of Tod that knocked on the door. He asked Heaven what her name was and when she told him he said, "Yes. Heaven. That's the name." like he was expecting her to say that Heaven is her name. She closed the front door leaving a crack and told me that she didn't feel safe around that guy and we talked about how he was very strange. When we opened the door back up, he was gone! We think it might have been the man that she saw in the window."

"OMG. I should have believed her when she said she saw someone. This is too much. I have to find my baby girl! You two have no clue who the man was?"

"She said she recognized his face but couldn't put a name with it. He also said he was a neighbor. Other than that, we have no clue."
