As we arrived to the airport, about 10 minutes later, I was feeling uneasy.
Even though Zach isn't jealous anymore, I was nervous. They've never met before, what if they hated each other? What if Zach didn't like how I would spend time with him? Before I could fret any more than I already had, I saw a figure looking around the baggage claim.
I knew immediately that it was him, despite the new tattoos on him, the lack of acne on his face, and his new hairstyle, it was still the same old Brandon.
While signaling to Zach to be quiet, I creeped up behind Brandon. Exactly before I was about to jump on his back, he found his bag and walked towards it, not noticing that I was next to him. He grabbed the suitcases, took out his phone and proceeded to call someone.
Suddenly, my ringtone started to go off and people started to glare at me as it was very loud.
He immediately turned around, knowing that I haven't changed my ringtone in years, and recognizing the exact song.
"Sage?"
"Brandon?"
"Is that really-"
"Yeah, it's me." I smiled and pulled him in for a bear hug as Zach watched us from a distance with a look of jealously on his face.
When we pulled away from each other, I remembered that there was someone I wanted him to meet.
I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the doors, where Zach was waiting for our little reunion to be over.
"Babe, come here," I called him, motioning for him to walk towards us.
He was coming near, as I whispered to Brandon, "I think you'll like him, he's needs a bit of getting used to and you're probably gonna think he's a little weird when you first talk to 'em, but he's a great guy, promise."
As soon as he reached us, he wrapped one arm around my waist, surprising me with his sudden want for PDA.
"Hey, I'm Zach, but... uh... you probably already knew that didn't you..." his social anxiety kicked in suddenly, and started to look extremely uncomfortable.
Brandon, however was the exact opposite. "Oh! Yeah, hi! I'm Brandon, I've heard so much about you! It's great finally getting to meet!" He held out his arms and came after him for an embrace.
Just as he started to hug him, Zach began to visibly stiffen, not used to almost strangers touching him. He looked over at me with a what-the-fuck-is-this-boy-doing type of vibe and I shrugged.
"Sorry, I'm a hugger," he went back to normal, noticing that Zach didn't seem to enjoy that one bit. "Oh god, that was awkward wasn't it, I should've asked. Wow, okay. I didn't- I shouldn't have- oh god, this is why he left me- I knew it, I was too clingy- shit- fuck, I'm so sorry." his eyes started to water.
Zach looked surprised, he didn't expect him to react that way, and honestly, neither did I.
Wow, the breakup must've hit him hard. I thought to myself, as I made a mental note not to bring it up for the next few days.
"No-" Zach tried to comfort him. "I was just... erm... surprised, that's all!"
"It's fine, I'm just still a little emotional about, well... You know..." Brandon looked down, running a hand through his hair.
"Well," I broke the uncomfortable silence. "We should get going, if we leave now, and unpack fast, we can have a movie marathon like we did in high school!" I hooked my arm around Brandon, giving Zach a reassuring look, meaning, 'don't worry, just friends, remember?'

Picture of Brandon on the side! The character was based on a friend I know, but I didn't want to have "him" play "him" in the story, mostly because he's underage and that's all types of illegal.
But gUyS can we just talk about how hot that boy is like dAmN hold me up against the wall and fuck me into next week, holy shit.
Sorry for the extremely short chapters latley, I just didn't know what I wanted to do for this story so I kinda procrastinated... a lot... whoops.
