Jack and I were laying on my bed with no light and just silence in the air. For some reason it wasnt an awkward silence it was some kind of comfort for me.
"You know Lee texted me again" he spoke quietly
"What the girl gotta say now"
He took his phone outta his pocket and showed me the messages. All I saw was her spamming Jack saying she was sorry and to take her back. He never messaged her back tho which was good, he doesn't give her the attention she wants
"She's so dumb Jack you were probably the only guy that treated her good"
"Yea how's you and Alex"
"We're okay"
"You sure"
"Yes why" I was starting to get kinda suspicious, he made it sound like he knew something I didn't
"He's going crazy about you Rih"
"What do you mean crazy" I said sitting up
"He's went crying to our basketball meeting it was kinda funny and we had to end the meeting cause he didn't shut up"
"That's really embarrassing"
"Yea but I'm glad you guys are fine"
"Ima tell you the truth but it's kinda embarrassing and weird that this situation happened" I said laying back down
I can feel his eyes staring at me even though we were in the pitch dark.
"We kinda fucked and like he got mad cause I- bro this is too embarrassing I can't"
"Rih just tell me" he said grabbing my arms and lifting them up
"Later not right now"
"I'm kinda tired" he said moving his position facing me
"I think I'm going to New York in winter"
I turned facing his way I felt our faces really close even though it was dark as shit.
"Why New York"
"My moms heading to New York it's paid and everything she can bring like 5 people, including her"
"Lucky bitch"
"No but I wanna invite you to come with us" I felt his hand cup my face as he rubbed my cheek with his thumb
"You serious"
"Yea I want you to come it'll be fun"
"Is it during the winter break"
"Yea it is if you can't come I understand but try so I can let my mom know"
"Who else is coming"
"I'll ask Miyung and Teja but im not sure Teja can come you know how she goes away for winter break" he said
"I didn't know but hopefully she can come"
"Yea" I turned my lamp on and went back to the position I was before
I closed my eyes and felt Jack's eyes on me.
"You're so beautiful Rih"
I opened my eyes and faced him, his breath was against mine it was quiet I felt the tension it was strong
My phone rang and I kinda snapped out of it, I got up and and checked the contact name
"It's Alex right" Jack said getting in my covers
"Yep it's him but I'll just tell him I fell asleep he won't care"
"You sure"
"Mhm"
Jack and I were friends but sometimes the feeling to just kiss him comes and goes. I do like Alex I mean I'm in a whole relationship with him but sometimes I imagine Jack and I together. Maybe it's bad but I'll obviously pick Alex since we made it official Jack was like something I thought about but never wanted to actually go with it.
