Friendship Never Ends, Right?

Chapter 1 - Dormmate -

Sky's POV

. . . . .

*Thud*

  "Aurgh- I regret setting the alarm right beside my ear-" I murmured and groaned in pain on the floor. Why? Blame my alarm. I swear, I bet one of them change my normal alarm ringtone to a screaming monkey sound as the ringtone.

  I checked the time on my phone and oh, how wonderful, 03.22 a.m.

  I groaned again and try to sit up on the floor. Then I heard a something from the kitchen,

*Thud*

  Is that a pan? Wait, no, I put the pan on top of the kitchen table right? Plus, the sound of pan is not like that.

  At first I didn't care cause, why should I? But then again, it's impossible for pest or animals to get in here. I even locked the door of the dorm, unless...

  I froze again after hearing a muffled voice speaking from the other side of my bedroom door. The voice seems angry.

  Ye, you know what, no, I'm going back to sleep, forever. Good day, cruel world. After saying that to myself, I went back to sleep, why? Why should I care again?

- Time Skip and Normal POV -

  Sky woke up with an upset frown. She couldn't sleep well after she woke up at 6 am. Entering the living room that connects to he kitchen, she notice a figure in the kitchen. The figure's posture seems lost since it keeps rummaging towards all the cabinets, looking for something.

  Sky's eyes open immediately and she grabs the nearest item, the pan. (A/N : Rapunzel who-)

  She sneaks up behind the figure and put on her defense stance. But,

*Thud*

The figure just bump their head to one of the open door cabinets and fall on their butt.

*Frustrated figure noises*

  Sky witnessing the event just stood there blankly before laughing hard enough just for the figure to look at her with an embarrassed face. The figure stands up with an embarrassed frown and faced forward to Sky.

  After laughing Sky have done her hard laughter, Sky observed quietly towards the person that rummaged in her kitchen.

  "H-Heyyyyyyyyyy, dormmate?" The person start the akward situation and dragging the 'y'.

  "You're a bit late, don't ya think?" Sky asked the person. I mean, Sky isn't wrong, the students should have been arriving yesterday and not today since today is the first day of class.

  "Well, I might have forgot about it.." The person answered with a sheepish smile. Sky just facepalm internally in her mind while on the outside, she's just using her poker face.

  "Alright then, the name is Sky." She answered again with a smile. The person just nodded her head and introduced themself.

  "My name is Mia! Pleasure to meet you Sky and sorry for the mess I created in the kitchen..." Mia reply with a guilty smile ending it.

  "Hey, it's alright, people make mistakes, don't sweat it, but..." Sky looks back at the mess Mia made. "Do you need help with finding something?"

  "OH NONONONO- YOU DON'T NEED TO-" She quickly replied, waving her hand in front of her furiously. "I suggest you to prepare yourself for the first class of the day and don't worry about me!" She continues speaking with a guilty and worried smile.

  "No it's okay I insist-" Sky replied to her again. They keep arguing and in the end, Sky gave in and go to take a shower. Mia sighs in relief and continued rummaging the cabinet.(A/N : S u s - )

  'Might as well prepare breakfast for my dormmate and also as an apology too-' Mia thought to herself, letting her own hand instinctively take ingredients to make breakfast.

- Time Skip -

  After the refreshing shower, Sky wears her prepared last night outfit and checked her needed textbook once more.

  "Alright, based on the schedule of my class, I'll probably be having English, History, and oh gosh, Math." Sky murmured quietly to herself and prepared her mental for Math class. She checked her phone again, the clock written 07.12 a.m.

  "Well, I still got chance to eat breakfast and watch YouTube." She murmured to herself again. She then heard a knock from her bedroom door.

  "Hey, dormmate, breakfast is ready." Mia replied through the close door.

  'When will she called me by my name and not the word dormmate-' "Coming!" Sky replied through her inner bedroom door.

  Sky went to the living room and look at the breakfast that was made by her dormmate.

  "Wow! You can cook?" Sky asked with a gleam of surprise in her eyes.

  "Hehe, well, that's not much but I got the skill to cook from taking care of my siblings... I hope It's delicious..." Mia replied with a worried, happy smile.

  "Thank goodness! I have dormmate that could cook! I thought I was gonna either starve or order some foods from outside-" Sky shouted happily and continued devouring her food.

  'But there's the reason why there is a kitchen for us to used-' Mia sweatdrop at that thoughts and decided that'll be another discussion for another day.

  "Oh! I also forget-" Sky stop mid sentence to eat her food again. "Could you give me your phone number pls?" She continue speaking with a muffled, since she is still chewing her food.

  Mia just chuckle and tell her to finish her food first while she go to her bedroom to take her phone. Sky was too busy eating her food so she just nodded.

  She then saw a phone on the table. She checked her pocket to make sure her phone is there and yup, it's there alright. She assumed it must been Mia's phone. Suddenly, a notification pops up causing the phone to light up. She was curious for the other girl's phone so she decided to see what is the notification about.

  Turns out, it's just one of those advertisement notification but Sky doesn't think of that anymore, she's too focused on the background of her phone.The background of the phone, somehow, she felt the feeling of guilt and anger.

'Wait what, guilt and anger? Why?' Sky's mind is full of confusion.

  "Sorry! I lost my phone and I don't know where it is now-" Mia entered the living room with once again, guilt smile. Sky just looked back at her and glanced at the phone on the living room table. Mia noticed this just smiled sheepishly at herself for being stupid to leave her phone on the table.

- Time Skip -

  After finishing breakfast, Sky and Mia exchange phone numbers and Sky left her dorm room to go to class. But she couldn't shake the feelings that she felt beforehand.

  'Why do I felt guilt and anger when I saw that photo? I don't even know her and just this morning, I just get to know her-' Sky thought to herself, letting her feet walk her towards her classroom.

  'Or do I?'
