Hi! This is a rewrite of one of my oldest stories, same concept but different plot.

(Also it's better written -3-)

I decided to post this one because I'm starting to run out of backup chapters for a few of my other stories as well.

Gon hid his sadness under smiles and cheerfulness. Under a sweet and calm personality. But he wasn't. no, he hadn't been happy for years. He was for a short while after Killua left, but as more and more time passed he realized that Killua probably wasn't coming back. He wouldn't have waited so long. If he could find me, he would. Two years passed, he never realized how much he loved his best friend until he was gone. Right before he left, Killua had taught him how to pretend. He wouldn't let the others see him cry, he'd do it alone when there was nobody around. They all thought that they knew him, but they didn't. Not the real him. Gon had to change his appearance and his name, got himself a woman who looked like him. Inko was her name, she was his new mother. I miss aunt mito. He had tried looking, but nothing in this place was familiar. He was completely secluded from everyone and everything he'd never known.

Gon was alone.

"Midoria" Gon blinked, then looked up at Iida, who was standing in the doorframe of the kitchen. They had gotten dorm rooms, he was currently eating some Katsudon at one of the tables. "yes Iida-kun?" He said kindly, giving him a smile. He made some robotic arm movements. "Class starts in 20 minutes, we should get going" but we'll get there 10 minutes early. He nodded. "Right. I'll be there soon Iida-kun, just give me a few minutes alright?" Gon dumped the rest of his Katsudon and put his bowl in the sink, then went up to his room. As soon as he closed the door, he sighed. Gon hated his room. Well, it was covered with every single piece of merchandise of a strong person but it wasn't who he wanted to fill his room with. Allmight and Mr. Aizawa were the only people who knew something was wrong, he'd come to the training at the beach one day and Allmight saw him crying with his hands in his face. Gon never told him what was making him so sad, but he didn't need to know. His problems were his own, nobody else needed to get dragged in. Mr. Aizawa had come into his room without permission one time while he was having one of his particularly bad spells, he'd sat there with him while he cried for almost an hour and then given him a bottle of anti-depressants when his concealer rubbed off and he realized this was a normal occurrence.

The only part of the room he allowed himself to have pictures was the bathroom. People might come into his dorm, but they wouldn't check the bathroom. Gon slid a secret drawer out from under his bed and looked down at all his old clothing, plus Killua's yoyo's. when he'd got transported to this place, he'd been giving them a spin. His fishing rod was also there, as well as his old backpack. Gon felt a tear roll down his cheek. He slid his stuff back under and got his U.A uniform, then took it to the bathroom. He let his eyes drag over the walls, the walls littered with pictures and drawings. There were hundreds, over half of them he drew himself. Alluka, Nanika, Kurapika, Leorio, Bisky, Morel, Knuckle, Shoot, Aunt Mito, Zushi, Wing, Palm, Ikalgo, Netero-san, Hanzo, Pokkle, Zephile, Menchi, Buhara, Melody, Ponzu, Gotoh, Canary, Mike, Kon, Kastro, Razor, Ging, Meleron, Kite, pretty much every important person he'd ever met in his life. Then there was a circle, it was positioned directly across from the toilet. That circle had dozens of pictures, and all of the same person. Killua Zoldyck. Pictures of him smiling, of him skating, swinging his yoyos around, talking, being a badass, he even got one of his abs.

Gon sat down on the toilet and looked at his Killua pictures. I miss you. He let himself cry for a few minutes before there was a knock on his door. "Midoria! It's been nearly 8 minutes!" Iida said loudly. He wiped his eyes, then sighed when he saw his face in the mirror. He'd gotten eyebags and a slightly more red complexion due to fitful sleep and late night tears. Thankfully he knew how to apply concealer, it was something else Killua taught him. Sure he wasn't perfect, but nobody should be able to tell the difference if he acted fine right? He also added the freckles, then slipped in his contacts and pulled on his uniform. He smiled at the mirror, then put his things away and opened the door. Iida was waiting with Uraraka now, and he gave them a smile as he grabbed his backpack. "Sorry guys, we can do now" They started off down the hallway, the rest of his classmates were out and about now doing morning things. "Hey Deku, is it just me or do you have more freckles than usual?" Uraraka said curiously. He rubbed the back of his head with a smile. I can't do it perfect every morning. "Oh, it's probably the sunlight. It makes them more prominent sometimes, I was out on my balcony for some time this morning."
