Sparks

The sinking feeling in Kenny's stomach only intensified the longer Javi and Clem spoke. Not only had the delta kidnapped some of his hellions, they broke into the armory along with it.

They only managed to take roughly about half of their weapons, but that was one half too many. Now, Javi had the great fucking idea to go and infiltrate their base, and to make things worse Clem was leading the operation.

When Javi brought up the idea Kate was not having it, especially since Gabe insisted on going with. "THEIR KIDS JAVI!" she shouted, with no regard of who may be listening in.

"I second that" he crossed his arms.

"If Clem goes, then I go!" Aj had the nerve to speak up.

"Absolutely not!" Clem and Kenny both shut that idea down.

If they both agreed on anything that day then it was that Aj would go nowhere near the delta. "It's dangerous" She added.

"Everything's dangerous!" He countered.

"Well your still a tot. My little goofball."

He didn't take it well to being called a child and stormed off after flipping her the bird. "I'll talk to him" Violet huffed, and followed him to his room.

Her footsteps grew distant in no time, the sound of her voice was barley a whisper. The door opened a few seconds after she left, so whatever she said must have been enough to get Aj to open up.

"Back to the topic at hand, I'm not allowing you to send Clem off to attack those cowards called the delta." He sent Javi a glare.

Clem rolled her eyes. "Incase you for got, I'M Richmond's caption over the soldiers, I decide where I go."

"That's more of a reason why you shouldn't go. They need you here."

"I'll be fine, I train them well. They can handle themselves."

Kenny could only sigh. She was right about everything. They needed to get their people and weapons back. She had to do this as one of Richmond's leaders, he just wished she wasn't one because he didn't want to loose her again.

He didn't want to go through that again, he didn't want Aj to go through that again.  He couldn't even go with her because he was no longer battle ready like he was before.

He hadn't been battle ready for a long time, however Aj needed him to be so he forced himself to be. He didn't have to worry about Clem, she was one strong cookie.

And now, after all those years he forced himself to be strong has finally taken its toll on his old bones. Even so he wasn't going to lay around like a beached fish waiting for death.

He may be old but he still had some fight left in him. That fight however was going to have to be dedicated to their forces in Richmond.

"Fine, go and infiltrate the delta. I'll cover you duties here" he stated firmly.

Clem blinked once then twice, before she turned to an equally stunned Javi.

"What?" She asked.

"Go to the delta, and I'll cover you here" he shrugged.

He brows furrowed. "Weren't we just fighting about me staying here?"

"Yeah, but I can't talk you out of this."

Gabe snorted "smart man"

"Your still not going" Kate chirped, her fingers pulling at his ear which made him wince.

"Not fair." He grumbled.

Louis looked way to smug at that. "How is this whole plan going to go?"

Both Javi and Clem shared a look. That's not comforting at all Kenny thought to himself.

"The actual delta base is located quite a bit away. Across a lake to be exact. There's this boat they use to ferry people across" Kenny perked up considerably at the mention is a boat "This boat is most likely where they have our people and weapons."

Clem nodded along before adding on. "We'll have to sneak on broad in order to get our people and supplies back. We'll do this by using the incoming horde as a distraction since the delta attracted a lot of walkers. Once the walkers are in place we'll have to swim through the water and onto the boat where we'll plant a bomb near their engine. That will allow us to get our people, supplies, and stop the delta from coming at us."

Kenny noticeably deflated once she mentioned the bomb on the boat. "Where will you get the bomb? most of the armory has been ransacked." Marlon frowned.

"If Mitch was here he could make one" Brody pointed out.

"We have bombs, raided a place a while back that had them. We decided it was best to keep it on the down low." Clem crossed her arms.

"Since that's covered, who is going on this little operation. I'm not letting Clem do this by herself."

"Our group can't be too big, so it'll be me and probably Brice, Gael, and Larissa."

Javi bit his lip. "Won't that be too little? What if things go wrong."

"Those three are the group that'll stay on the ground in order to keep them distracted." She paused "I'm not sure who should go on the boat yet. They need to be stealthy and small incase things go wrong."

"Aella is pretty small" Gabe suggested.

"She's also a klutz" Ruby huffed in annoyance.

"I'll go with you" Louis smiled with a wink.

Clem chuckled. "Oh really now? So your going to protect me pretty boy? Sure you can handle it?" She replied coyly.

"I'm certain I can" he smirked.

Rosie whined from her place on the floor at the same time Brody said "barf"

"Get a room" Violet, who at some point joined them rolled her eyes.

Aj on the other hand pretended to shoot him with his fingers. "Violet how about you join them, get Tenn back."

And prevent whatever is going on between the two was left unsaid

"Oh come on!" Gabe exclaimed "they get to go but not me!"

"Yep" Kate popped the p.

"Can I go?" Aj asked

"Not a chance" Clem, Violet, and Kenny replied at the same time.

"How about I go?" Marlon spoke up, who up until at this point was oddly quite and only spoke up once since the whole conversation started.

"That's actually not a bad idea."

He'll try to set Louis and Clem up though...

"What do you think Clem?" Javi turned to look at her.

She smiled coldly, her eyes darkening. "They won't know what hit them"
