"Dad, keys." Dominic demanded as they disappeared from sight.

"You're in no condition to drive." His father countered.

"I'll drive." Justin Jr. stated, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I don't know..." Asa hesitated.

"We don't have time for this! Just give him the damn keys!" Dominic shouted as he watched from the doorway as Randall roughly shoved Katrina into his trunk. Sirens could already be heard in the distance.

Asa tossed Justin Jr. the keys to his silver Chrysler 300, telling the boys to be careful. They dashed out the door in time to see Randall's car turning a corner at break-neck speeds. Justin Jr. was peeling off before they even closed the car doors.

By the time they turned the same corner two blocks away, Randall had gained another block and was turning again. Justin Jr. floored it and they shot down the empty street in hot pursuit. Randall turned down another street, but they flew passed it. Fortunately Katrina's brother knew this city like the back of his hand and told Dominic that street led to nothing but dead ends. They circled back with the headlights off and crept down the street.

Randall ended up at a new set of condo's that were under construction. He paused as he got out of the car and looked around. He knew the place was deserted. His father was the contractor hired to build the place and Randall knew the layout and floor plan of each abode. He aimed his gun at the trunk as he opened it, telling Kat not to try anything as she got out. He grabbed her upper arm and forcefully guided her into an empty complex.

The boys ditched the car and moved stealthily through the shadows, watching as the other boy closed the door behind them. "So what's the plan?" Justin Jr. asked as he flipped open his cell phone to alert the authorities.

"You get Kat out. I'll handle Randall." Dominic shook his head to clear his sight.

"Man, you don't look so hot."

"Just get Kat away from that psycho." Dominic continued as they made their way around the back.

"You don't have to do this." Katrina spoke through tears as Randall handcuffed her to an exposed pipe running through the walls.

"Actually, I do. If you'd have just pulled your head out of your ass and given me a chance, we wouldn't be here." He told her as he placed his gun down on a partially finished counter top in the kitchen area and removed his jacket.

"You need help. I can talk to Dominic's dad. He probably knows people who can get you the help you need." Katrina tried not to think about her own father, but she couldn't stop the images of him lying in a widening pool of blood as she was forced out of her home. She'd been feeling light contractions since Randall strong armed his way into her house earlier, but they were getting stronger with each passing minute.

He stooped down in front of her. "You're all the help I need sweetheart." He smiled maniacally. "You and this baby." He reached a hand out to touch her protruding abdomen. As his hand pressed against her it felt as if she were being torn apart from the inside as another contraction racked her frame. She screamed out in pain, hunching over as much as the handcuffs would allow.

"I think the baby's coming. You have to take me to a hospital." She pleaded.

"I guess the little tyke is anxious to meet his old man." Randall stood up. "Don't worry. I'll go get whatever supplies we need and after we deliver the baby we can get out of here."

"What are you talking about deliver the baby?! It's too soon!" Kat screamed again as another contraction hit her.

Justin Jr. held a finger up to his lips as they tiptoed through the side entrance. They could hear Kat's shrieks of pain as they neared. Dominic's heart dropped at the thought of what he could be doing to her and he peered around the corner. He could just make Kat out sitting on the floor with her wrists cuffed to a pipe a few inches above her head, her face red and scrunched up in pain. Randall stood a few feet away by the kitchen putting his jacket back on.

Dominic gave Justin Jr. a pointed look before he slowly sneaked into the room behind Randall as quietly as he could. He locked his hands to make one big fist and brought them down as hard as he could on the back of Randall's neck. The shorter boy dropped as he was tucking the pistol in his waistband, but he wasn't out.

Justin Jr. rushed over to Kat and assisted her to her feet, but she was still being assaulted with contractions. He yanked violently on the manacles, but to no avail. He frantically looked around for something, anything to help get them off of her. He found a lose pipe lying on the floor and quickly grabbed for it.

Randall and Dominic tussled on the floor, rolling around in saw dust, sheet rock and other bits of debris. Randall punched Dominic hard in the face causing him to see bursts of lights. Randall reached in his waistband and pulled out his revolver. Dominic pretended like he couldn't see at all as the other boy stood over him, legs splayed wide, pointing the weapon at him. He launched out with one long leg and connected a size 14 shoe with Randall's groin. Randall cupped his private parts with his free hand, but Dominic didn't grant him time to recuperate before he was on him again.

Justin Jr. banged relentlessly against the steel handcuffs, but it was no use. The damn things just wouldn't give. Katrina sobbed with him to hurry as she watched Dominic sway from another punch to the head. Justin Jr. realized that even though the handcuff wouldn't give; the pipe they were connected to would. He used the cylinder in his hands to put pressure on the other. Who ever installed them didn't do a very good job as part of it broke free from where it was supposed to be welded together. "Come on!" He ordered Kat as he pulled her towards the door.

Randall struggled with Dominic for the gun that was caught between them as they ended up against the wall. It went off in their hands, the shot going wild. Both of their hands were fighting for the gun, so Dominic did the only thing that came to mind and he head butted the other boy. Randall released the gun as blood gushed out of his nose and Dominic fingers slid home even as his vision blacked out and he felt the weight of unconsciousness pressing down on him. He squeezed the trigger in Randall's direction directly in front of him against the wall, until the gun clicked, unable to discharge anymore.

He placed his hand against the wall as he refused to pass out. It took him a moment to realize that he could still hear Justin Jr. He turned around to find out why he hadn't gotten Kat out and then he noticed Justin Jr. was on the floor kneeling over her. The gun fell from his limp fingers as his feet seemed to drag him closer. He felt as if his world was falling apart as he watched her brother applying pressure to the bullet wound caused by the stray bullet that struck her directly through the heart.
