– seasons apart.
i tasted summer on your tongue,
as your words had me melt with their warmth,
you said you loved me.i saw winter in your eyes,
as you had me believe your lies,
you said you'd never lie.i heard the winds of autumn whoosh past my ears,
as you whispered in my ears your promises,
you said i was the only one.and then,
and then.like every fall of a season,
like every goodness of a bye,
like every wilt of a flower,
like every whither of a leave,
like every drop of melting ice;you let go of me.
i fell.
i bloomed.
for your fall had been my spring,
for we were seasons apart.
