After the Reaping, we said our goodbyes to our families. "Win it." My dad said and I nodded. I know I'll win. With all those weak tributes from other districts, there's no way I won't. But there's a part in me that makes me feel sad. Clove is a tribute too. I just don't know what to do if I'll lost her. I just don't.
As I walk in the corridors of the Justice Building, I can hear Clove's family celebrating. As her relatives went out of the room, They saw me. "Congratulations." Her mom said. She looked a lot like Clove. They have the same piercing brown eyes. And that irresistible half-smile. Her dad smiled to me as well. I noticed that her brother wasn't there. I knocked on the door. "Hey." I said. "Hey there." She replied. I walked towards her. "How are you?" I asked. She looked at me. "I'm absolutely great. You?" I don't know what to say. "Just the same." I smiled. As we were talking, Enobaria came in.
"So, You two will be my new tributes to train, eh?" She asked. "Well, yeah." We answered in chorus. "Okay. So all you gotta do is to train and focus on what you do best. Clove, I know you're very handy with knives." Clove smiled mischievously. "And, Cato?" Enobaria asked. "Swords." I answered. "We got the best tributes in Panem. Now, all your things have been packed. Let's now head off to the train and go to the Capitol."
The train was huge. Some trains in District 2 are just half smaller than the train going to the Capitol. There's plenty of food inside and some avoxes. "Whoa." Clove was amazed. "I know right?" I chuckled. "Sit down and eat. I know you two are really hungry." We sat down and ate a lot. There were lamb chops and roast duck. They also got cakes and vegetables. "Can you get me some water? And hurry!" I ordered an avox. She nodded as well. I know there are a lot of avoxes in the Capitol. I heard they're rebels or prisoners that were captured. It took her a long time to fetch me a glass of water. "Where have you been?! I told you to hurry!" The avox looked at me with sadness in her eyes. She lowered her head."Now go." Clove told her. She walked away.
"That was cool." Enobaria continues to eat. "I nearly choked. And it took her like, 5 minutes to get me a glass of water." Clove laughed. "That's like, one-fourth of him, Enobaria. Watch out when we reach the arena." "Oh, shut up." I laughed too. "You got winning skills, Cato." After three hours of traveling, We have reached the Capitol. There were many weird-dressed people in there. "What are they wearing?" Clove asked. "That's how they look. But remember, they could be sponsors. So, act nicely." Enobaria told us. We both smiled. It was awkward, though. Some girls were whispering and giggling. Clove looked at them coldly. "I think they like you, Cato." Enobaria smiled. I saw Clove rolling her eyes like it was nothing. I hope she's jealous. And by the looks of it, I think she really is. That made me smile. As we walked out of the train, people looked at us. I think Clove's still shocked with all that's happening because she just mindlessly held my hand and looked at me.
