Ch. 21

They were walking behind mrs Ana who hadn't exactly told them where they were going. They were walking down the stairs until the only light came from fire torches hanging on the wall. It was kind of creepy but for some reason they weren't scared or something, not even Lisa.

Mrs Ana stopped in the front of a big wooden door.

'Mr. Jackson was originally your element teacher, but because we have so little knowledge of you, you will now be taught by Lee Minho. If there is anyone who can uncover the energy in you, it is him. He doesn't normally teach much, but you guys are an exception. Don't worry, all practice rooms are down here, this is not some precaution for anything or something. This is his workspace and he is a proud man so please show some respect alright?'

'Wait is Lee his last name or Minho?'

'Lee, you should just call him Mr Lee.'

'This shit is making me nervous.'

'Me too.'

'Alright there you go, good luck!'

Mrs Ana opened the doors and pushed the four of them inside before she closed the doors again.

'Is it just me or did she almost sound scared?'

'Ah fuck I'm not liking this shit.'

The room was dark and there were only a few torches in a very large room. They must be very deep under the surface because the ceiling was very high. In the back you could see a small stream of water dripping down the wall. It gave them kind of cave vibes. Out of nowhere a man appeared. They were all very surprised. Now before them stood a man, but he was still very young, somewhere in his twenties maybe. After Ana's story they had expected a very old stern man, or at least a lot older than this. He looked at them with a bored and empty expression on his face.

'Welcome, for you I am mr Lee, I'll be giving you your element lessons until I decide you are done. However long that may be.'

They all nodded because even though Eva was taller than him, he was pretty intimidating.

He turned around and started walking towards his desk. They didn't really know what to do so they just followed him quietly. As they were walking he continued talking.

'Because it is your first lesson today I won't make it too hard. Because you all have different elements you'll all do different exercises. The water one will draw water drop by drop from the stream and fill the lake on the other side of the room.'

He first pointed at the stream in the back and then he pointed to a little pool half filled with water.

'The earth one will separate the dark grains of sand and the light grains of sand into two piles of sand.'

He pointed at a big pile of sand on the right.

'The fire one must light all these candles one by one.'

He pointed to a long table with thousands of small candles.

'And last but not least the air one must get all the fluff from all the dandelions and put them on the shelf there one by one.'

He pointed at a shelf at least five meter high.

'But... But that's going to take forever.'

'Well I guess you should get started.'

They all sighed, this was going to be a long day.

They thought they would get taught how to control their Sola, but they didn't get any explanation at all, he had just thrown them into the deep. Because of this today was a very big struggle for all of them. They had to figure everything out themself.

First it didn't work for shit. They had been told they would be there the whole day which didn't make it any better. They fucked around for a while, not allowed to speak or even look at each other. It was like that was the only thing he cared about, he didn't care if they fucked up everything, if only they were quiet. After long hours it was lunch break and mr Lee finally let them go.

'Jeez, I thought controlling elements was gonna be fun.'

'Mr Lee is really testing my patience, like literally.'

'I needed to SORT FUCKING SAND OUT! WHO EVEN THINKS OF THAT?'

'At least he is creative.'

'Can we like stop and enjoy these precious minutes while they last before we have to go down to hell again please?'

'You're right. As always.'

'Ah danke.'

There they were, back again. Unlike yesterday where basically the whole ground came up, Nora had a little more struggles today. Eventually she did manage to lift some grains but it was nothing compared to the pile sand in front of her. All this sand was making her depressed.

Sadie, Eva and Lisa all had that same problem, only some managed to do it quicker than others. When they were allowed to leave it was five o'clock and they walked away with the feeling they didn't learn shit.

'Wasn't he like the guy for the specials or something? Shouldn't he be like really good? Because I don't notice any of it.'

'Bruh yea indeed, I thought we would actually learn something but I guess not.'

'Even if we are able to lift grains of sand, how the fuck is that gonna help us? So I can throw grains of sand if I'm being attacked? Bro this shit is just not it.'

'I agree with you Nora.'

'Thank you Sadie.'

'But people, look at it with a positive eye, we now have fucking vacation!'

'You Eva? Looking with a positive eye? What happened?'

'Bro just shut the fuck up.'

'I'm just joking. Are you going anywhere with Christmas?'

'Are we even allowed to go anywhere?'

'Uh I dunno I didn't think of that.'

'I'll ask Liv.'

Eva took out her phone and started to type in real speed. Not a minute later she looked up from her phone again.

'We're not.'

'Fuck.'

'Well this is going to be an interesting Christmas.'

'We'll just make it like in Hogwarts yu kno?'

'Yea let's just do that.'

'Oh there you girls are.'

Mrs Ana came walking towards them.

'As you probably know know it is vacation right now. Because you are still considered new students even though you already are here for two months, you are not allowed to leave. We understand you want your well deserved free time but..'

'Ah shit no.'

'...you will need to continue mr Lee's classes in the vacation.'

'Every day?'

'Yes, every day. Well except for Saturdays and Sundays, those are always free.'

'Is that even legal?'

'You won't be having classes as long as today though, you'll start every day after lunch, at twelve thirty and the lessons will take three and a half hours.'

'No way, please say you're kidding.'

'I'm not, good luck!'

With that said she walked away leaving the four of them in utter shock.

'She did not just-'

'I'm gonna jump off a bridge real quick.'

'I'm gonna join you.'
