𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄, Rick almost immediately believed that his wife was on his side about a topic he hadn't even verbally brought up yet.

However, despite how racist, ignorant, and all around dick-y Merle acted he was in the end just another human being trying to survive like the rest of them.

"I know, I know, and that's why I want to do it-" Rick said surely as he began to nod quicker, motioning over his shoulder as if he was pointing back toward the city.

However, before he could even finish his words of self-encouragement in order to pursue his suicide mission, Rick was quickly cut off by the woman standing in front of him.

"But," Daleyza interjected even though Rick was already talking, having not finished making her point as she began to remind the man that she wasn't the only one waiting for him to come back. "Carl isn't going to take you leaving well and Carl is nothing like Merle."

Almost immediately at the mention of their little boy, Rick's face couldn't help but drop as he thought back to the way Carl cried when they'd first reunited.

"He just got you back, we just got you back." Daleyza said as she raised her hand to stroke his face, but her hand stopped mid-air when she felt it.

The familiar tingle at the back of her neck, something that aligned like some sort of ability to sense near by danger, causing the woman to turn her head sharply towards the woods.

However, quickly noticing his wife's stilled position and frustrated expression, Rick couldn't help but realizing something was wrong.

"What," Rick asked with a confused shake of his head, his eyebrows furrowing as he had only seen her get like this a hand-full of times before something bad happens. "what's wrong?"
