"Welcome to Saule Cove."

It's the same road that we were driving on when we arrived. Dirt, surrounded by tall trees, and long. I'm in the front seat, next to dad. A voice echos the same thing over and over again.

"Welcome to Saule Cove."

It's like a loop. Breathing in the same spot, the same accent on Saule. I turn to dad, his hands are tied to the wheel.

Why are his hands tied to the wheel?

I look behind at Caelum, but he isn't there. I look out the windshield to a horrifying sight.

Standing on the dirt road is Caelum. Small skull bashed in. I can see a chunk of brain poking though the broken bone. His clothes are bloody, sticking to his body. His right arm hangs a little longer at his side. Dislocated from his shoulder. I about vomit in my seat.

The truck speeds up, we're going to hit Caelum.

"Dad!" I attempt to scream, "stop!"

He doesn't stop. The car goes faster. 40. 50. 60. 70. 80.

I bring my knees up to my chest, I can't watch. I feel the car hit something but then it disappears.

Dad fades away, my body lifts from my seat. I'm floating in the air. A pool of black surrounds me, nothing can be seen.

GO AWAY DAUGHTER OF NATASHA! THE SPIRITS DON'T WANT YOU HERE!

The same horrible screaming fills my ears. I cover them but the screeching persists. No one can save me. Not Caelum, not Grant, definitely not my dad. I'm trapped. Trapped in this horrible place.

I wake up, sweat drenching my back. The shrieking has dulled to a distant ringing. Still, I cover one head and look out the window. A heavy fog as drives over Saule Cove. It's hard to see through but even in the dim light of the moon, I can see something looking at me.

Something taller than the trees. Something I don't want to meet.
