IS THAT MY SHIRT V?

The Pogues were shakin up, After finding out the compass they found on the ship wreck belonged to what they assumed was John Bs dad, they all  headed home. Everyone excluding Ivey Lewis. promising to fill her in latter, the girl went off to meet with her father. Yes the same father that had abused her ever since her mother had left, but it wasn't always like that. Tommy Lewis had two sides to him. He would lay into her when he was angry, taking in the persona of his late father. As much as he tried not to be the man he despised the most, he couldn't help it, it took over him. Some would say it was the way he was wired, the Lewis bloodline. He was almost thankful that he had a daughter, thankful that he hadn't carried on the illness of the Lewis gene, containing the vial natures that the Lewis men brought onto the world.

She made her way to the loading docs, new parts had come in for the store and she had to bring the money knowing her father wouldn't have a jack shit to pay for the shipment. She withdrew from a locked account she had saved most of the money the shop had made, it was quite frankly all of it, which means they were in debt again. long live the Pogues. She saw the figure of her father leading his back against the wall licking his lips profusely as he waited for his daughter to join him.

"Hi pretty" he stepped away from the bricks with a look of regret filling his expression. She walked right passed him, she could see Luke Maybank sitting in the car on the opposite sides of the docs. "Hey, hey, wow, wow pretty, what'd I say about ignoring me?" he chased after her pulling her arm back to face him.

"I don't want to talk to you, and why the hell were you chasing me and my friends on the marsh?" his eyes wondered behind her, licking his lips she could tell he was thinking through his answer. His grip tightened around her forearm as he locked his gaze back into her.

"I was there- I was there to apologise, for our little disagreement the night before" she scoffed loud, rolling her eyes to the man.

"Little?" Did you see what you did to me?" Her voice was bitter, he didn't expect anything less from her.

"Hey, I had a right to be mad, you hadn't been home in days, whoring around like your god damn mamma" she could feel his nails dig into her skin, she didn't flinch, knowing the pain too well to complain.

"I wasn't whoring around, I was recovering from your other blow up, remember that? And no, I haven't  slept with any of those boys" he swallowed deeply, looking into her eyes. He forgot about his other outburst now he was feeling guilty again.

"Well, I came today to apologise girly, and you wouldn't pull the damn boat over"

"Bull shit" she scoffed "Was that with or without the gun you were shooting at me?" Her voice laced with mockery as he clicked his tongue. She wasn't stupid, he knew she didn't believe it, he was there searching for the same thing she was but little did she know he was actually aware of what the compass lead too.

"Listen, im sorry okay" he paused for a moment as her gaze lingered to the floor beneath them. "Your all I have pretty, and I know I give you a lot of crap, I know but I don't mean it" his grip loosened on her arm, he could see water linking the rims of her eyes as she looked up at him.

She responded silently as she refused to look him in the eyes.

"Look at me" he lifted her chin, her lip trembled as she held back the burning tears that fought to break through. "I love you pretty, Im making you stronger, remember that" she looked into him briefly before pulling his hand away from her. She turned back into the numb girl everyone knew her to be, nodding briefly before turning away from his hold.
