After #Penthouse3 Episode 11
This is only a fanfiction and has nothing to do with the drama.
Rona opened her eyes and darkness is what she sees.
She looked around but it's so dark and foggy that she could barely see anything.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ But moments later, the clouds, which were blocking the moon, quickly drifted away from the silver orb. And through the light of the mysterious full moon, dim figures of two people can be seen from afar.
She took a few steps forward and she almost tripped when her foot bumped into a rock, but she just took a quick glance at her feet then shifted her attention back to the scene in front of her.
As she slowly approached these figures, she noticed that they were standing near the edge of a cliff.
This is..
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ Then suddenly one of them started walking, step by step, slowly towards the other person who then backed off a few steps, slightly limping.
She walked closer to them and stopped when she recognized who these people were.
Eomma?
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
"What are you doing? N-N-No… No, Cheon Seojin."
"Oh Yoonhee."
"Don't do this, Cheon Seojin. I can't leave my daughter alone. Please don't do this!" the poor woman begged.
Rona panicked and tried to run to save her mother, but she remained rooted to her place. She couldn't move. She couldn't do anything but watch how her mother begged for her life.
"Let's end our ill-fated relationship here, Oh Yoonhee. Goodbye." Cheon Seojin continued walking towards Yoonhee who was already at the edge of the cliff.
"Noo!" Rona tried to stretch her arms out, hoping she could reach her mom but she could no longer move a single part of her body. "Mom!"
Cheon Seojin turned to look at Rona and gave her a quick evil grin and glared at her.
In that moment, Rona could see the dark expression on the woman's face, so dark and evil, as the woman glared at her.
The clouds soon covered the moon again and then, there it was. Cheon Seojin pushed her mother off the cliff.
"Aaahhhh!"
"Mom!"
"Andwaeee!"
Rona's eyes opened and she stared on the ceiling of the room. Vivid images of her dream were flashing on her mind.
"Rona, are you okay?" Yoonhee hurriedly walked towards the bed. Getting no response from her daughter, she sat on the edge of the bed and noticed her daughter's heavy breathing. She gently held Rona's shoulder, slightly shaking her. "Rona."
Slightly startled, Rona looked up and saw the worried look on her mother's face. "Mom," she whispered. Rona glanced up to the ceiling and slowly sat up.
Yoonhee leaned closer, gently held her daughter's head and put her other arm around her daughter's shoulders, pulling her into her embrace. She rested her chin on Rona's head, rubbing her daughter's shoulder to somehow help her calm down.
Rona closed her eyes and her mother's warm hug helped as she calmed down a bit. Hearing her mother's heartbeat, she felt relieved. It was a nightmare. She was wondering why she kept having that same dream. This time, it's a bit different, more terrifying for her. Her mom being pushed by Cheon Seojin off the cliff. It was just a nightmare, but it will happen in the future so Rona was very worried and nervous about it. She even asked her mother to sleep beside her in her room and told her she was scared every time she woke up from a nightmare.
I have to do something if I don't want that to happen again. Can it be prevented by staying away from those people and this place?
"Having nightmares again? I thought you had already grown out of it. The last time you're like this was when your father died. But I think this is worse. Is something going on lately?"
Yoonhee released Rona from her hug when she didn't get a response from her. "Rona, is something going on lately?" Yoonhee repeated her last statement, thinking Rona didn't hear her and maybe still processing whatever happened in her dream.
But Rona was completely awake now, just choosing the right words to say so as not to make her mother worried even more. "N-Nothing, mom," was the only thing she said, in a low voice that almost sounded like a whisper.
"Did you dream about your dad, again?"
Rona gently grabbed her mother's hand and forced a smile. "No, mom. I dreamt that y---," she hesitated and took a deep breath before continuing... but with a lie, "That I'm falling."
"That's---. In that dream, where did you fall?" Yoonhee asked, her eyes wide.
"I-I don't r-remember," Rona lied, shaking her head, not looking at her mother. She fears if she told her mother about this, she will remember everything and take revenge, and she'll end up losing her mother again.
Rona became more anxious at the thought of losing her mother so she tightened her hold on her mother's hand.
"Don't think about it. Maybe you should try to avoid going to high places," Yoonhee cautioned.
"Mom. That dream, it will not happen," Rona said in a determined tone.
"Of course. I will not let that happen. But still, you should be cautious, okay?"
"You too, then."
"Me too?" Yoonhee looked confused for a second but then smiled. "Okay, I will. Don't you worry."
If only you knew mom and I guess you will never know..
Would things be different if she remembered all the things that happened in the future? Will things get easier for the both of us, for me? Because if she really remembers then I wouldn't have any problem convincing her to stay away from this place. Or is this better? Because there's a possibility that she might take revenge on those who did her wrong if she remembers them?
"Just be careful, Rona. Okay?" Yoonhee cautioned Rona again.
Then suddenly a thought flashed into Rona's mind. It's something that has been bothering her for a long time and she's been wanting to ask her mom about it.
"Mom," she began.
"Hmm?"
"You," she hesitated for a moment but decided to go on, "You mentioned dad. Is he really my father, mom?"
