The white mare led the 3 men and the dwarf to the Rohan plains. Soon they were greeted by 100 riding men in the flag of the horse people. Sevegilia slowed down to trot the closer the riders got. Soon they were surrounded and she stopped completely. Gandalf, Legolas and Aragorn, and Gimli jumped down from her back. "Riders of Rohan, what news from Mark? "Aragorn says as he walks closer to the man who looks like the leader.

"What business do an Elf, a man, and a dwarf and a wizard in Riddermark? Talk fast!" The man says. Sevegilia neighs gently and human horses respond to her with a nod of their heads and they go down on one knee, their riders are amazed at their horses' behavior around this white mare. "My name is Sevi, Éomer of Rohan " Eomer stares at the white mare.

"Can you talk, young horse?"He says after a while and takes off his helmet carefully. Sevegila smiles a horse's smile and bows his head in greeting."Yes. My riders want a warm bed and countless food. Do you think your king has time for us? " Éomer's face darkens with sorrow. "Théoden no longer knows the friend from the enemy." Éomer takes off his helmet. "Not even his kin." Rohirrim pulls back their spears.

"For that, I am sorry, my lord. But the light will come to those who wait" Sevegilia slowly shifts. Now she stands there in her beautiful elf form. "We can help you get your king back," she says, referring to her friends. Éomer nods and goes back upon his horse.

"All friends of the white mare are our friends and will be allowed to sleep in our halls, but I can unfortunately not follow you there. I am sure you can find your way from here. I wish you all the goodwill of our people. Until next time, white mare."

Sevegilia changes back to her white horse form. The smell of ash fills her nose while Legolas, Aragorn and Gandalf, and Gimli climb on her back again. "I can smell the burning ashes. We go there to look for our little friends. I feel them are closer than we think." Seveglila says when they are safe on her back. The 3 men and the dwarf nod in response and Seveglia sets off towards the burning site.

BORDERS OF FANGORN - DAY

The five halt beside the pile and dismount. They look upon the pile with dismay.  Later...Gimli half-heartedly shifts through the smoldering Orcs with his ax. He reaches down to retrieve one of the Hobbit's sheathes. He turns mournfully to Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, and Seviliga. "It's one of their wee belts." Legolas bows his head and closes his eyes.

"Hiro hyn hîdh ab 'wanath." he whisper. He then feels Sevegilia's hand on his shoulder. She looks at him, he sees hope glimmering in her eyes. But before she can open her mouth, Aragorn kicks a helmet. He screams a cry of anguished defeat and falls to his knees, hanging his head low. He sits in despair.

"Don't let the sorrow of the dead blind your eyes, my friends. I can feel their presence. They're close. And safe, safer than we will be." Her voice is filled with something they hadn't heard before. Determination.

Aragorn turns his head. Something on the ground suddenly catches his attention. A glimmer of hope flickers across his visage as he notes some marks on the ground. He moves towards them and touches the spots with his hands.

"They're still alive," Sevegilia said as she shifted into a wolf. She then started tracking Merry and Pippin. Soon she had their scent. "over here!" She cried. The others ran to her side and together they entered the Fangorn forest. Legolas had an arrow stripped to his bow as they scurried over the forest floor. Suddenly, Sevegilia stopped, sniffing in the air.

"Their scent is mixed with new sent. I can't quite place it" she paused and looked over at Gandalf. "Do you know who may have taken them, Mithrandil?" She continued. Gandalf had a small grin on his lips when he said. "I may do. But now we must make our way to Rohan. Theodén needs us"
