What if: Danny didn't put on the stone mask

where even a single choice can branch into infinite timelines....

Oh sorry, didn't see you there I was just "watching" a timeline where Shibu is a swimsuit model....

some Danny's prefer Zenkeis or Todorokis.... but not me.

anyway... lets get into this.....

The stone mask....

in some realities it's an ancient aztec relic created by the pillar men to create vampires

in others it is a device forged by my father, Dario Brando the 3rd to permanently improve a Quirk past even an awakening.

In my universe I put the stone mask on putting on a path leading to me dying twice and murdering everyone that cared about me....

Oh yeah and in the main universe I put on the mask after making a pact with Warudo to punch me in the balls if I ever acted out of line

but WHAT IF Danny Brando never put the mask on period

what if when Midoriya warned against the dangers Danny fully listened to his friend and placed the mask back on his wall...

the rest of that day is uneventful

unlike in the main universe this Danny can still sustain himself on "Normal" food

he remains in denial about his pansexuality

due to the fact he doesn't knock himself out he's able to get onto the dance team without a problem

Crisis doesn't happen either since it's a multiverse event

turns out not putting the mask on kinda makes my life fairly dull

nothing changes much until his second encounter with Kira

without a natural healing factor Danny is hospitalized during the fight making him unable to stop Taro from fighting Kira and Dillan.

this results in Kira actually being defeated and Dillan being unable to find Danny

now a wild child on the streets of Japan Dillan succumbs to his third personality far quicker and the Crimson Court are formed earlier than usual

meanwhile Kira was detained and brought in for questioning

due to the fact stands aren't common knowledge he's let off but is put on a watch list for resisting interrogation

not having OFA embers Danny still manages to succeed in the fight with 1-B

during the trip to Nabu island Danny doesn't fight Nine but instead is instrumental in taking down that chimera guy I can't be bothered to look up the name of.

as such Danny doesn't break every forking bone in his body and doesn't meet Zenkei

at least not at the hospital

during his work study at the Speedwagon foundation the two hit it off when she visits and start a friendship

his confrontation with Taro goes as usual with speedwagon smacking the hate boner out of them

due to just being friends Danny's relationship with Captain fukusen isn't made weird by the fact he's dating his daughter and they continue their Mentor relationship

the biggest difference is when Dario attacks Danny

unable to overpower him Danny is forced to watch as he beats the shit out of Zenkei and Shibu while still choking him out

which leads to Danny finally snapping as gaining a quirk awakening ripping into his fathers hand with his teeth.

this is followed by Danny going into an uncontrollable blood-lust and attempting to feed on Dario's blood

served the birch right....

you see something about Renfield even i was unaware of until I got this job is that it's a dangerous Quirk to have.

the mask was in a way the best choice of evolving it

you see Renfield works on the id of its users brain, makes them more privy to their desires.

the mask amplifies this but also negates the original effect

while the mask makes you more sexually deviant and more prone to violent outbursts the naturally awakened Renfield throws its user into an animalistic frenzy whenever blood is present.

perhaps some strange evolutionary feature that makes it easier to eat

Danny bite into Darios neck as he begins to consume his blood.

luckily Captain fukusen is able to arrive and stops Danny before he becomes a murderer

Dario is taken into custody as Danny is retrained and is left to calm down.

without Dillan Kira is left to fight off his father all by himself which only makes it more suspicious a Quirkless kid was able to fend off a known serial killer.

in this universe Danny's choice to not put on the mask may have not destroyed or saved the world

but it certainly created a different climate he must now navigate his way through....
