Grime groans, his mind foggy and his throat sore, rubbing his head as his eyes open sluggishly. He squints, gritting his sharp teeth, unable to handle the light in his dry, tired, left eye. He can't see in his right eye, with it being completely blind.

'What the hell happened?' his foggy mind wonders.

After a few rapid blinks, he stares at the floor. The ground is as hard as a rock, being the same light grey color as well. His eyes widen as his head tilts up, scanning his surroundings, shocked by the world around him.

Tall, brick buildings stand beside white buildings, lining the light grey and black rock floor that seems to stretch on for miles. His eyes flick around, realization hitting him.

"The portal," he grumbles with a raspy voice, scrunching up his face in anger.

'I must've been knocked in right before it closed.' his mind finishes.

He scrambles to stand, looking for someplace to hide and figure out a plan. It's a lucky thing he landed in a place with no humans, otherwise he'd have been spotted by now, and the humans would have freaked out over his unnatural appearance.

He slips into an alleyway, scanning his mind for any ideas on what to do in such an odd situation. He slumps against the wall, at a complete loss, until he perks up, hearing footsteps coming towards the alley.

You hum a soft tune, unable to remember any lyrics. Your steps stay in beat with the song in your head as you make your way back to your apartment.

You just had an early dinner with your best friend, so you're in quite the good mood. With a pep in your step, you continue down the walkway as you start passing an alleyway, sure that nothing can bring you down.

You gasp, staggering to your left, feeling a scaly hand wrap around your wrist and tug you into the dark alley.

Before you can squeal, a large hand presses against your mouth, pinning your head against the brick wall as another hand grabs your wrists and pins your arms above your head.

"Don't scream." A deep, gravely voice whispers in front of you, causing goosebumps to prickle your arms.

A shutter darts up your spine, causing your nerves to tingle with adrenaline.

You squint at the darkness, but are only able to make out the outline of a large, oddly shaped person. With the sun setting, you can barely see in the shadowy alleyway. You gulp, being too frightened to make any sound, let alone attempt to scream.

He slowly removes his hand from your mouth and uses both hands to pin your wrists above your head. It's an awkward position, and it makes you feel more vulnerable than before.

Your heart pounds in your ears as you breathe at a rapid pace, sensing him glaring at you while he leans closer. His breath reeks of blood as his cold breath ghosts your warm face.
