13: Chocolate drama

Darshan sits inside the car and Divya is looking at the chocolate store.
"Papa can I please go with Siddharth uncle? I want to go to the chocolate store. There are soooo many chocolates. I want to eat those chocolates", Divya asks while looking outside the car window.
Darshan says strictly, "No you won't go outside. It's a very busy road dear, you will sit here quietly. Siddharth will come right now and he will give you the chocolates."

But Divya's face clearly expresses that she is not satisfied, and she wants to go to the chocolate store herself. She is constantly looking outside from the backseat of the car. Darshan tries his best to console Divya. He tries to keep her mind busy by saying other things while Siddharth buys the chocolates.

Then Darshan receives a call from someone. When he looks at the phone screen, his eyes twitch- it clearly expresses that the person who has called is definitely not someone who he likes. He recieves the call.

"Hello"

"Hello Mr Raval. This is Director Mr Agarwal speaking."

"

Yeah..."

"I would like you to consider my idea and sing the song which is there in my movie"

"Sir, please try to understand..that song is a peepy party song. And clearly that is not the type of song which I would like to sing"

"No. Mr Raval, you are mistaken. Once you come to the recording studio I'm sure you would like the song. Moreover it's a fun track"

"I'm sorry but honestly this song has the worst lyrics ever. And the meaning of the lyrics is very important to me. And this song is simply not my type of song."

"But Mr Raval you should atleast come to the studio and record.. it'll sound amazing"

Now, Darshan gets irritated. He impatiently says,"sir first of all I'm not interested to waste my time arguing like this and secondly my music is very precious. I would not like to sing such songs with absolutely meaningless words. Instead of singing such songs and wasting my time, I would rather spend some time with my family."

"Well, it's surprising to see who is speaking about family?" Mr Agarwal heartlessly chuckles and continues,"well, Mr Raval who do you call your family? That little kid? Or your wife who left you and made you a hopeless romantic?"

After hearing those words, Darshan could not control himself
"Mr Agarwal I think you should first learn how to speak to someone before calling. And I WON'T SING THAT STUPID SONG IN YOUR MOVIE"
Darshan disconnects the call and immediately blocks his number.

Darshan turns to look at the backseat of the car.
"Div.." he could not complete and suddenly fear engulfs him. He panics and calls "Divya?"
His eyes immediately go outside the car. He finds Divya trying to go to the other side of the road towards the chocolate store!

A few minutes ago...
Divya thinks, 'Papa is busy speaking to someone. Maybe that person is a bad person, that is why papa is getting angry. But I want to go to the chocolate store where Siddharth uncle is. Maybe I can slowly go there.'
And the little girl slowly opens the door of the car and steps outside. She looks at the busy road. Then she looks back and sees Darshan still busy speaking. She takes baby steps and tries to go to the other side of the road.
That's scary, but she desperately wants to go to the chocolate store.

Darshan finds Divya standing on the road and vehicles moving with insane speed! He immediately unbuckles his seat belt and opens the door. He sees a car approaching at a very high speed. Without wasting a single second, Darshan runs towards Divya. Just when the car is about to hit Divya, he pulls her right hand. Thankfully the car did not hit her. But when Darshan pulled Divya's hand suddenly, she lost balance and fell down on the ground. She stumbles over a small rock and hurt her knee. Although it is not a deep cut, but still there are a few bruises on Divya's knee.

Darshan was not able process what happened infront of eyes. For a moment he questions himself what would have happened if he did not reach in time.
And then he gets goosebumps. He bends down and hugs Divya.
