"Diskha let's go out for a long drive. Just like we used to do"
Darshan suggested.

Diskha replied after a few seconds,"But Gabbu, we suddenly came out of the house at midnight. Divya is at home, everyone must be worried about us. And tomorrow we will have to return back to Mumbai. We cannot stay at Hardil's place forever. I have to return back to my work, you must be having your recordings.......we will have to leave Lonavla tomorrow otherwise our work will suffer"

"I understand. But what is the problem in going for a long drive now? Anyways it not raining now...and the weather is quite pleasant"

Darshan insisted Diksha several times and she finally agreed to what he said. So they were finally in Darshan's car. Diksha rested his head on the window pane of the passenger's seat while Darshan started driving. There was complete silence everywhere. Mild wind was blowing Diksha's hair and the moon light was falling on her face, making her look more beautiful. The wind made Darshan's hair messy, and he looked like a cute teenage boy in love! He kept stealing glances at her while driving.

Without looking at Diksha he said, "I have something to ask you. Can I?"

Diskha was a little taken aback, "Yes of course you can. Why are you asking me?"

"Was it you who used to send me flower bouquets and cards on mom's death anniversary? After you left, every year...on that day I received bouquets..and a card which asked me to stay strong"

"Yes..it was me...."

"But why?"

"I think you know the answer.....I did not want you to feel alone on that day. I know what you feel on that day...people see you are busy celebrating the success of Tera Zikr, but I know the pain which you used to hide while singing. Even though your eyes remained close while singing, your voice expressed each and every which you felt.....I was in New York, but here in Mumbai, I told one of my office members to send those bouquets and letters to you. That was the least possible thing I could do to reduce your pain"

Darshan had a tiny smile on his face. Tears had already formed in the corner of his eyes but he quickly blinked his eyes and said "You were right when you said that you did not leave me"
He knew Diskha was becoming emotional once again and very soon she would again start blaming herself for leaving him. But he knew she wasn't wrong. Everyone had experienced pain and he knew Diksha had faced a lot. So he quickly changed the topic to cheer her up and said, "I have a surprise planned for you"

Diksha excitedly questioned "so when am I going to get that surprise?"

"In just a few minutes" is what he replied and continued driving.

It was almost dawn, and only a few minutes were left for the sunrise.

Darshan parked the car near a tea stall. He went outside the car and brought two cups of tea.
Both of them sipped the hot bevarage and admired the beauty of nature.

Darshan forwarded his hand and indicated Diksha to hold it. They held each other's hand and walked a few minutes. They intertwined fingers was a symbol that they would protect each other and be with each other at all costs.

"Darshan where are we going? Why are we walking like this?" Diskha asked. She looked at the scary surroundings, "Oh my god! Darshan we will reach a dead end like this. See no one is here. Where are you taking me Idiot?" But Darshan didn't speak a word. He ignored her questions and kept on walking.

Indeed the surrounding was a little scary. They were a climbing up an inclined road. The path was very narrow and the whole place was full of tall trees. There was not much light. The whole path was full of pebbles.

Darshan was usually the one to speak nonstop, but this time it was Diksha.
As if they had exchanged each other's roles!

Darshan protectively tightened his grip on Diskha's hand and said in a stern voice, "Don't talk so much. If you fall down from here you will hurt yourself very badly. Be careful"

Diskha's gaze was fixed at the ground but she was irritated "then why are you taking me here?"

They stopped climbing and she started breathing heavily and asked "Darshan I am tired...why did you do this? We could've gone somewhere else"

Darshan placed his arm on her shoulder and said "Look up"

And when Diskha lifted her head she was utterly surprised. The senery was beautiful. They were standing on a high cliff. They could see the sun rising slowing from the veil of clouds. They whole sky had a reddish orange colour, making it look beautiful. Birds where chirping and the sweet smell of fresh flowers were filled in the atmosphere. There was sense of positivity and warmth in that place.

Diskha smiled beautifully and said, "Darshan this place is so beautiful. This place is so peaceful"

He smiled and took out a necklace with a heart shaped pendant.
Diskha was surprised once again.

"Darshan is this the same necklace that you had gifted me? I used to wear this everyday...but one day I lost it somewhere. But...how did you find out?"

"Last year I was driving at night..when I saw somone standing on the road. It looked as if it was you. By the time I could reach there, you had already left the place. But I saw this necklace laying on the ground. From that day I was sure that one day we will meet again...and here we are"
Darshan made her wear the necklace and Diksha said, "this necklace will always be the first sign of our love. You know I was so sad that day when I lost this....but I am glad that you found the necklace. This gift will always be close to my heart"
She further asked, "that means....last year when I had returned from New York, you had seen me in Mumbai? So that night, it wasn't my hallucination....it was actually you who was driving the black car? You were there near that same old ground where we used to come at night after college?"

Darshan smiled "yes it was me. That night if Siddharth had called me a little later then I could have seen you properly....actually he was scared because I left the house at 2am..so he had called me"

Diskha nodded. Then she hugged him tightly. He reciprocated the hug with love and kissed on top of her head. They didn't say anything but that hug spoke volumes. That day amidst the greenery of nature, they had promised to be together, forever. Their long, tight hug showed the love and care they had for each other. Nature was witnessing the reunion of two lovers who were away from each other for a long time.

The view looked magnificent. The sun rose brightly and the darkness of the night and the dark clouds had disappeared. It was a new day and it was new beginning for Darshan and Diksha's life.
Truly, after every gloomy night, the sun surely rises brightly. And there was no sign of the dark clouds. The dark clouds were like the insecurities and fear of losing each other, but the bright rays of light- their love for each other- had wiped all the fears away.

"Amid secrets and monsters and fire and death; amid every uncertainty; love existed. Love was real. It was the one certainty."
