The Royal Test

Challenge #1: royal house keeping at your service...

Today was the day of the first challenge, and boy was I nervous. First I was concerned about the prince who was really messing with my head the last week. He has been short and just barely looks at me like I'm invisible and it hurts to be honest. I can't even worry about that though because my life is on the line and I can't afford any distractions.
" hello everyone this is the king speaking." It sounded from an intercom in the dinning room. " everyone report to the ballroom in exactly three minutes,if late there will be consequences." And just like that it cut out. I quickly made my way to the ballroom and when I walked in I found a little stage about six feet wide and six chairs in front and two beside it. I walked to the chair that had my name and sat. After exactly two more minutes everyone was seated. Lucy to my right, Tiana to my left, and the queen and prince in the two chairs beside the stage.
" welcome girls to the first competition." The king said as he walked on stage. " your first task will be simple, you will each be assigned a floor to which you will clean in seven hours. You have until five to do so, every room ,floor, bathroom, kitchen ect. I will have royal guest here for the wedding so I expect it to empress me. The loser however will be punished. But according to rules the punishment must fit the challenge so if u lose we will drain u off blood which is not the worst part, but since your cleaning we must dispose of the body using chemicals to liquify your entire body. The only good news is you wont feel to much pain due to blood loss."
I felt like I might faint. " I know what your thinking, literally, but under your chair is a number and that number is the floor your assigned to, and remember no running away there are guards on every floor guarding any way out and when the clock strikes five they will escort you to your rooms to shower and you all eat at six. The loser is announced at eight. It gives me two hours to judge each floor and determine how you rank. You may all begin grab your number and the guard behind your chair will personally escort you."
After hearing that I rushed to get to my floor which was level 3 because I didn't have any time to waste. Once I reached it I found a map taped to the entry door. This floor has 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a dinning room, a kitchen, and two tv rooms. I started on the tv rooms since that was easier I dusted and wiped all walls, floors and furniture then I flipped the cushions and organized a bookshelf in alphabetical order. The next thing was the dinning room and kitchen which I know I did amazing on. Then I started on the smallest room which was still huge and remade the bed,swept the floor, dusted, organized every little item to fit how a royal would like them I headed up to the guard to see how much longer was left.
After finding I had three hours left I had to pick up my pace. I had an hour for each room and bathroom left. After doing two more rooms I got to the largest master suite on the floor and this room thankfully had a clock. I had forty five minutes left. Holy crap! As I hurried through the room I started thinking about the challenge and I figured out the royals were doing challenges to fit is. Everything else is so organized that it makes sense. I sti have no clue what the others will be but this cleaning challenge had to fit someone so one of them girls has an advantage. I would hate seeing the challenge made for Rebecca. Hah! I made myself laugh. I checked the clock again and seen I had ten minutes so I finished organizing when I heard the guard coming so I went out, ready to get to my room to shower.
Never had I cleaned so much dust before, it felt amazing to take a shower though. Without having a lunch I was starving so I headed to the dining room ready for dinner. Today I was having mac and cheese and potatoes with a side of green beans, yum.
"I'm nervous, I didn't get the last room completely done." Lucy said frowning.
" I'm sure you did great." Tonya comforted her. These two were so nice I hate to think one of us would be dead and it didn't even hurt the royals to just kill innocent girls. Why not set them free? I don't know but I want to win to fix this problem for whoever is the next princess.
" Attention: all girls return to the ball room please all girls." As I made u way I started to feel nervous. Who will lose this week, will it be me? I sat down in the same chair and waited for the royals to take their places.
"I can feel and hear how nervous you are, so I'm going to start from the top and tell you who did best and so on. First place this week is Reagen. You out did your self you even alphabetized my book shelf, well done. This challenge was made for you, you are so compassionate about everything you do and you knew just want I expected and went beyond that. Good job." Shew! I can finally breath again. I'm safe".
" since you can in first place you may journey to the royal floor for one night to the game room or library your choice for as long as you want until your curfew. You get to do that tomorrow on your free day. Second was Maybell, third was Tony's, fourth was tiana, fifth was Rebecca and last was Lucy. I'm sorry Lucy but your work was unfinished. But in honor of your dedication to the games we will be setting up your family members with an allowance for the next ten years to help with anything they may need or want. So just know you provided for us and for your family. Please come to the stage."
I couldn't breath. Lucy knew she didn't finish. And wait are they doing it in front of us, oh my god!!
" as you are all wondering, yes we must have you watch according to law because the future queen must be hardened to make the necessary choices for her people and husband. This is no light duty." I watched them sit Lucy don't in a hair on the stage and and hook her too a blood bag like she was a blood donor. I saw a tear slip from her eye. Why are they doing this. This is inhuman and to make us watch is just plain sick.
" Reagen calm your thoughts" the king looked me right in the eyes so I looked back feeling determined. " determined huh? Your already thinking like a queen, stubborn with caution." He said as he winked to his wife and I saw her blush. Ugh! I looked back to Lucy who's eyes were closed. The tool the baggies off her and laid her body on a stretcher and left the room.
" She is still alive, we won't make you watch the last part, we don't even want to. So return to your rooms and get ready for tomorrow. Guards export them and lock them in their rooms please."
I went back to bed feeling sad and tired and just collapsed and cried for sweet Lucy. She was too sweet for that. I don't want to win if it means killing others but I don't want to die either.
