[Y/N's POV]

Why did I tell him I needed to leave? I really didn't have to. God, I'm stupid. I should go back, but that would be awkward wouldn't it? I sighed and decided that I should probably just go home, he looks like he's having fun with his friend anyway. We also hung out all day so I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I stopped to get my phone out when I realized, it wasn't in my pocket. I groaned and realized I probably left it in the café earlier. I turned around and started to jog back to the café, when I ran into Wilbur. I stumbled back slightly.

"Oh! So sorry Y/N." Wilbur apologized, grabbing me by the shoulder so I didn't fall.

"No, it's fine." I snickered. He removed his grip on my shoulder.

"I uh, I.. You forgot your phone back there." Wilbur mumbled, handing my phone to me. My eyes widen slightly, my eyebrows raising.

"Oh, I uh, thank you.. Will." I smile, stumbling over my words. Not that I wanted to. I grabbed my phone and I felt our hands touch. A thousand thoughts rushed through my head. It must be amazing to be able to hold his hands. Ah fuck, why am I thinking about this shit. It was already dark,  but the nearby lampposts illuminated our faces. I felt my face heating up slightly, I hope he didn't notice though.. I felt like my breath was caught it my throat. I couldn't even mutter a word. The slight breeze, making his curls move slightly. Everything seemed to be perfect, until..

"Wilbur! You're taking an awful lot of time!" It was his friend from earlier, Tommy. I quickly stepped back, looking away. I felt my heart sink. Wilbur turned to the voice.

"Oh hey, Y/N!" Tommy looked at me, smiling.  I waved at him.

"So uh, thanks for bringing me my phone Will. I really appreciate it. Um, I guess, I'll be going now." I tried to keep my composure, my breath still feeling stuck.

"Oh, um, yeah. I'll catch you later Y/N." Wilbur scratched the back of his head. The awkward tension filled the air. There was nothing else to come out of it so, I turned around and started to walk back to my house.

I got to my driveway. I opened my front door and walked in, I took my shoes off and turned the lights on. I silently sat on the couch. I didn't really know what to think of what just happened.

All I know is,

It sucked.

[Wilbur's POV]

I turned to Tommy.

"What the hell man?!" I didn't want to attract attention but I was angry.

"What??" Tommy's eyes widened.

"You fucking ruined everything!"

"Will, I'm sorry I didn't know.." Tommy apologized. I suddenly felt worse. I sighed.

"I'm sorry tommy. I didn't mean to go off on you like that." I apologized softly.

"I'm sorry too I guess. I didn't know you liked them so much." Tommy laughed, half jokingly. It was just an inconvenience. I wish we could redo it again though.
