I stand up quickly and look at him. I take in his appearance. He hasn't changed much his hair is just a bit longer then I remember. "Its rude to stare Destiny." I was shaken out of my state as I look him in the eyes. "Well my apologies. When you haven't seen a man for over a year thing's change." "And how much have you changed in these past four years?" "I've changed a lot Kazuha but it seems you haven't." I say calm. I turn around and pay for my drinks. "Now if you will excuse me it is time that I head home." I kiss my father on the check. Then I pick up my journal and lyre. I tell my father to tell papa I hope he feels better. I smile at him and promise to make it home safe. I move around Kazuha and headed out the door. I hear his footsteps behind and roll my eyes. "What do you want Kazuha?" "I came back to see you Destiny. The least you can do is talk to me" I stop walking and turn to look at him "What is there to talk about? We went are separated ways. That's they end of it." Kazuha looked at me. He looked shocked "Is it that we went our separate ways or the fact that you left me there. I didn't even get to say anything." I say nothing as I think back to that night. "You wanted to be free Kazuha. And I couldn't give you that at the time. I had dreams of my own" he raised an eyebrow at me "Had?" "Yes, things happened and now I'm here and I'm quite happy with my life." "You don't seem that way." There was silence between them "I lost my fiancé two years ago. That's not something you just get over. Especially when you're trying to find the answers." he nodded "Maybe it's just time to let go. You cant keep old wounds opened forever." he said to me softly "Just let me walk you home that's all I am asking for." "Alright but nothing else Kazuha." "Promise." he smiled at me as we started to head for my home. He stood beside me as he talked about some of his more recent adventures. The ones that happened in the past year. I listened to them as I thought about poems and songs that I could make from them. About thirty minutes past before we reached my home. He walked me to the door. I opened it as I turned and looked at him "Well you seem to still be a gentleman after all these years." "And it seems that you can still make a great poem even from the most boring adventures" I smile at him. A real smile something I hadn't done a lot of in the past two years. "I'm glad that you enjoy telling them." there was silence as I start to close the door. Kazuha caught it quickly "Thanks for letting me be your company tonight. I have missed you greatly." he said as he smiled softly "No need to thank me. Glad to have you back in town old friend. Goodnight Kazuha." "Goodnight Destiny. I'll see you around." With that he heads off into the night heading towards town. I shake my head slightly and close the door. I lock the door behind me. I get myself ready for bed and put on a my silky red robe. Sitting on the edge of the bed I write down some ideas in my journal. Once done I put my journal down and turned the light off. Getting under the sheets I start to relax and let sleep take over my body.
