The Truth of the Heart

Kazuha looks at me. "Destiny do you have any idea who could have sent that." I shake my head no as I am still in shock. He begins to pace back and forth. "This cant be good we have to tell someone." I shake my head quickly. "No way, the knights are the ones who got Roman killed. You really think I want there help." He looks at me "Destiny this person could be after you. What if they come for you?" "I'll figure it out but right now we don't know anything." He lets a small frustrated sigh. "You are so stubborn beside why are you even still looking." Sometimes we have to let things go." "Like how I let you go?" He looks up me shocked at the statement I had just made. I go to say something but he stops me "You might have tried to let me go but I never let go of you." "We would have never worked and you know it." There was silence between us as I look back at him. "Why because I wanted to travel. Destiny you never gave us a fighting chance. You ran the moment when things might have been harder. But you didn't fight for what we could have had." Kazuha looked at me as there was something in him that I had never seen before. He wasn't the same little boy he was back then but then again neither was. "I knew where my place was it was here in Monstad beside my fathers. To stay here and learn. To hear new stories from people that visit Sir Diluc's tavern." I take a sec before I go on. "I found a man I was supposed to marry and then he was taken from me. I want to know who did it. I want them to pay for taking away the one person who I wanted to marry. And no little note is going to scare me away from finding out the truth." There was another moment of silence between the two. "You know Destiny you've changed in many ways. But I cant let you run around looking for the truth when you might get hurt." He heads to the study door and looks around again. "I never met Roman but I do know that I loved you enough to come back." With that Kazuha left my study and then I hear the front door open and close. I sit down in my chair as I take in everything that has happened in the past couple of hours. My head is spinning I close my eyes to try and make it stop. Taking a moment to help myself relax. Once relaxed enough I open my eyes again looking around the small study. I spick up the strange note, and sit there for a while. Then a knock is heard at my door. I really don't have the energy to deal with another person. I just want to sleep this all of and come back to it later. Whoever it is won't stop knocking even after five minutes have passed. I sigh and slowly get up to head down the steps. I fix myself making sure that I don't look to bad. Once done open the door to see a person who I don't know. "Why hello there I'm looking for someone named Destiny. Would that be you?" "Yes, that is me. May I ask who you are." "Well my name would be Lumine. I am a old friend of Romans." I looked at the women in shock and say nothing.
