Chapter 9

In the woods, Emma and Archie were following a red bird, "Emma, I really don't think chasing a bird is an effective form of therapy," Archie said.

"Last time, he took me to the Oracle. He'll do it again. She knows what's going on with my visions," Emma said.

"She says she knows, but I can actually help you," Archie said.

"This is not a dream interpretation," Emma said.

"Emma, this is the opposite of how therapy is supposed to work. I mean, we're... We're making progress," Archie said.

"Well, I don't see it. My hands are still shaking and the visions are still haunting me despite all the hours on the couch. So no more talking," Emma said.

Emma saw a hooded figure sitting on a log, "Whoa... Hello?" Emma said and they ran over to the hooded figure when she realised it was the Oracle, she touched the Oracle's shoulder but she dropped down on the ground.

"Oh, no. Is she..." Archie said.

"I think so," Emma said and a branch snapped in the distance.

"Who would do this?" Archie asked.

Emma heard the branch snap, "Shh," She said.

They heard rustling behind them, Emma turned around to see a woman running away, "Stop!" Emma yelled and she chased after her but the woman didn't get far as she tripped and fell to the ground.

"Hey!" Emma reached her as the woman tried to crawl away, "Hey, stop! Stop!" Emma said.

The woman turned over, Shirin, better known as Jasmine and she looked between them as she breathed heavily.

At the Hatter's household, Jefferson walked into the living room and saw Rose Red sat on the couch talking on the phone, "I never came to see you, Whale," Rose Red said.

"What's going on?" Jefferson asked and she shrugged.

"What? If you know then why say you saw me?" Rose Red said.

"Not, you as in you on the phone. You as in Dark Queen you," Dr Whale said over the phone.

"Oh... Sorry, my head's been all over the place. It seems what happens to her, happens to me or symptoms or something and the other way around... What happened?" Rose Red said.

"If that's the case I need you to come to my office right away," Dr Whale said over the phone.

"What? Why? I've just been nauseous, but that's stress," Rose Red said.

"I didn't want to tell you this over the phone, Queen Rose... The Dark Queen used some sort of magic on herself, it's the only way to describe it... She's two months pregnant. I need to see you, today," Dr Whale said over the phone.
