That afternoon before lunch I limp my way to my locker and set my books down on the floor. The minute I open the door a small slip of paper flutters out. Curious I pick it up. It's a note....

"Meet me tonight at the bridge. 7:30 pm. Don't be late. And don't tell anyone."  ~Anonymous

I raised an eyebrow. Tonight at the bridge...was this the same person who wrote the last note? I dig through my pocket to fish out the other note. Sure enough the handwriting is the same. Messy chicken scratch. My mind races as I try to piece together the clues I have so far. And by clues I mean the two notes and the mysterious stranger from the night before. Who I know absolutely nothing about. Just that he...knows where I live...which is a little creepy..and he knows where my locker is...which is also creepy. So potentially I am being stalked...I'm itching to tell someone. But the note specifically says not to...then again it's most likely from a creepy stalker..."Yes father. I told you. I have everything under control......No I don't want you to take over! I can do this on my own!!!" Whoever is on the phone sounds really upset. I creep towards the noise. "Yes......father I told you I have an idea that is going to work!.....Yes I do!.......No!"  Closer...."I told you this is the safest way!" Closer...."How am I supposed to know if it worked or not the last time. I only saw the peak of the outcome, I haven't seen the aftermath."  I can now see the figure of a boy. A boy who kinda looks like...Cody? I keep quiet so as not to let him know that I'm eavesdropping on the conversation. "Does it look like I'm failing father? I literally just started yesterday! Give me time. I promise you I'll have everything going according to plan within a couple weeks maybe less. No father...I told you...no one is suspicious..." Suspicious? About what? I'm about to pop out and reveal my question when something in me lunges back. Something weird was going on. "Don't worry father. It's just a matter of time before it'll all be running like clockwork."  Cody assures the caller. I swallow as I ponder what I've all heard. What plan does Cody have with his father? What is he trying to start? What does he know worked? What does he mean by the safest way? Why would he be suspicious? What is he planning? What did he start yesterday? My brain can't seem to keep up with it's own questions. What was going on? I tried to calm my racing mind as I slid down against the lockers. Gently leaning my head back I close my eyes. I don't know how much time passes before a shadow falls over me. I don't look up to see who it is because frankly, I don't care. "Hey....can we talk?" I freeze. Now I do care....I knew that voice. My head snaps up. "Zed?"
