Spider-Man sighed deeply at what he's currently staring at. It's a thrift store. If he had the money he would go to the best store there is but for now this will do for him. Curious and fascinated onlookers are watching him on the street nearby, pulling out their phones, recording, and making the wallcrawler a bit uncomfortable.
Shaking his head in mild annoyance, Spider-Man headed towards the store and grabbed some cheap bland looking clothes and pants for himself along with a cheap large backpack and an old hat. Finished, Spider-Man then casually walks to the counter where he finds the cashier who's wide eyed in astonishment upon seeing him.
"Woah! You're that spider guy on the news, right?" The cashier spoke up cheerfully with a smile on his face, "I can't believe this! A superhero is shopping around my store!"
Spider-Man chuckled and offered his hand, "Yeah, I'm Spider-Man. Nice to meet you, mister."
"Oh no no no no, don't mister me, man. I'm just glad you are here. Just call me Ned." The cashier now known as Ned introduced himself and quickly accepts Spidey's hand for a handshake, "So, uh, hey, man, can you do the web thingy you do on TV? I really wanna see it with my own two eyes!"
"Um I don't know." Spider-Man looked down hesitantly, "I don't wanna make some mess here for you to clean up."
"No, no, no, man, it's cool. Really." Ned replied enthusiastically.
"Alright, fella." Spider-Man sighed before shooting a web but this time it isn't the usual web string he shoots, this time it's a ricochet web. He shoots its on the floor with the web bouncing back towards him however due to his incredible speed and reflexes, Spider-Man easily catches it with his hand. He then shows it to Ned whom is amazed by what he had just witnessed.
"Woah! S-s-so you can shoot different kinds of webs. Awesome. Can I- Can I have it?" Ned stuttered.
"Sure." Spider-Man casually handed the web to the cashier, "I'm sorry if it's not the usual web you were probably expecting."
"Nah, man. Are you kidding? This is even better! Way better, man! Seriously!" Ned looks at the ricochet web on his hands like a child who just received his Christmas gift.
"Um, so, how much for these?" Spider-Man showed all the things he wanna buy on the counter.
"Hey you know what, man, just take 'em. You being here is already enough. You see superheroes never visits places like these. They're always at expensive supermalls, you know what I'm saying. And I'm just really glad that finally a superhero came in here to shop." Ned explained.
"Wait really?" Spider-Man tilted his head.
"Yeah, yeah, man. It's cool." Ned smiled happily.
"Um okay." Spider-Man shrugged, "Thanks, appreciate it, Ned. Next time though I will really pay for them when I come back and buy something here."
"That's good to know, that you would come back." Ned replied, "By the way, can I take a picture of you?"
"For you, buddy, you can take as many pictures as you want." Spider-Man smiled behind his mask.
30 Minutes Later
"Whew, well that took longer than I expected." Spider-Man muttered as he exits the store with all things he bought stuffed inside the cheap backpack that he's now wearing. Spider-Man looked around and sees countless reporters and journalists along with the regular folks flocking to him. The sight almost made him wanna rub his head in confusion. Are people now really this obsessed with him? Yeah sure. back in his world, people were indeed fanboying or fangirling when they see him but not to this extent. Here these people almost wanna bow down and worship him like some sort of god and he's only in this world for a few hours as Spider-Man
