Chapter fifty-four

I didn't want to feel a thing as i walked away but all i could feel is how wrong it is to be apart from him. I hated him so much but not as much as i wanted him, i stopped at a windowsill and sat down; the cold blew onto my back but i barely noticed. Why is it that i'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time when it comes to him, shouldn't he be in the hall with everyone else. My head felt awful , i'm tired of everyone's shit and it was beginning to show, i decided to scrap the owlrey and go back to the common room.

I ignored everyone for the night and stayed in bed practising transfiguration homework on teal which she wasn't too happy about but she got over it eventually. I fell asleep late which wasn't ideal for the morning. "LUCY" Hermione shouted startling me from my sleep, i sat up squinting and looking round for her. "QUICKLY GET UP NOW," she came hurtling down the stairs, "NOW" she ripped open my curtains. I stretched and yawned "What is it mione?". She turned to me sharply whilst throwing clothes at me, "Harry had a dream again, Voldemort he has Sirius just like he had Mr Weasley, so Harry went and he i'm" She stuttered in the rush of her own words "well... well Umbridge has caught Harry trying to get to Dumbledore and now she's having filch look for the army to keep hold of us all, we need to get to Dumbledore before she gets us". I felt my heart sink, with Dumbledore gone and Umbridge being headteacher it means there's no one to stop her from any form of punishment. I shot out of bed and threw on the clothes Hermione had gotten out before rushing out the door, Ron was stood at the top of the stairs, "they have Fred and George". Neither me or Hermione knew what to say so we merely nodded before running out of the door. "She's locked the exits Mione" Ron called. She stopped in thought for a second, "floo powder it's our only chance" she looked at us desperately. I stopped to look at her "We cant leave Harry", Ron looked at Hermione waiting for a response but i already began, "You two go, find Dumbledore or Sirius or someone, i'll stay with him and tell him the plan before he cooks something stupid up and ruins it all.". Hermione nodded before grabbing a Ron's hand, he did a slight smile amongst all the panic. They ran off down the corridor.

I felt a twist in my stomach as i walked up to umbridge s office, i put my head high, i needed to reassure Harry. I took a deep breath before i turned the corridor to where i could hear filch groaning about "Army nonsense" and "ruddy children". I walked round in his eye view, "You!" he wobbled towards me before grabbing me and pushing me along towards Umbridge's office. He opened the door and pushed me in "Another one madam" he hummed before carefully shutting the door. Harry looked up from the chair he was sat in with Umbridge staring down at him. I smiled slightly at him and he nodded back to me. Goyle grabbed me and pushed me over to everyone else. George grabbed my hand as i got pushed next to him to prevent me from panicking, it helped. I looked over to see Fred, Ginny, Neville and Luna stood, all the same expression; stay calm but the growing panic can't be ignored. There was a silence. "You we're going to Dumbledore weren't you?" Umbridge bent down to Harry's height. Just as that was said the door opened yet again. "Caught these two in the library trying to use floo powder" a familiar voice broke through along with the opening of the door. I looked up. He stood there his hands gripped on Ron and Hermione's jacket. His eyes fell over me, his expression changed as he loosened his grip over Ron snd Hermione. "Over there with the others" she ordered. Both Ron and mione moved without force ; Ron moving to stand at the other side of Ginny to Fred, Hermione following to Ron's other side. But Draco didn't leave, instead walked over to stand nearby me at the end of our army line. "Let me ask you again Mr Potter" she smiled at him now "You were going to see Dumbledore weren't you". Harry tightened his grip on the arm chair and sat himself up further, "No". She barely gave him chance to finish his sentence before slapping him hard and quick across the face. Hermione sharply turned her head into Ron's shoulder whilst Fred grabbed at Ginny's hand and George's tightened on mine. I couldn't help but turn to look at Draco's reaction, almost hoping he looked pleased with a smug smirk to give me reason to hate him: but he didn't, his mouth tightened as though he wanted to say something much like Fred's and his eyes were wandering all over as though he was waiting for the shock of it to happen again. But our reaction and response was cut short when another person seemed to arrive at the door, this time the energy was calm and relaxed. "You sent for me headmistress" Snape stepped slightly through the doorway. Umbridge turned from Harry as she faced Snape "Yes Snape" she breathed as though she was short of breath "the time has come for answers wether they want to give them to me or not. Have you brought the serum". He readjusted his cloak and stood another step forward surveying all of us, "No i'm afraid you used up all my stores interrogating students, the last of it on Miss Chang". I looked at Hermione, Ron and then Harry as we all came to the same conclusion that Cho hadn't just given us up and had in fact been forced, but we were all too stubborn to let her explain. But Snape carried on "Unless you wish to poison him then i would assure you i have the greatest sympathy of you did", at once we all looked at Harry with great alarm as you could see the rising panic in his face. Yet again though Snape carried on "I cannot help you". I felt the sudden relief fill every single one of us , immediately Harry looked as though he went back to planning his next move. And of course, he made the perfect move. Snape turned to walk out the door but Harry called to him just before he could leave  "He's got padfoot... he's got padfoot at the place where it's hidden". Umbridge turned to look at us all as he said this and then at Snape, "Padfoot? What is Padfoot? And the place where it's hidden? What is he talking about Snape?". Snape looked at Harry for a second before replying to her "No idea" and he left.
