CHAPTER THREE

                        HARRY

„Hey!" Emily smiled at me and I forced myself to smile too.

„Hi. You can co-" I was about to say, trying to sound friendly, but she was already on the way in to greet my Mom.

Okay. Great.

„Hello Mrs Twist! I'm Emily! Nice to meet you!"

„Hello Emily! What a beautiful name! Harry has never mentioned you!"

Mom looked over at me questionly.

I cleared my throat.

„I am just helping her with the homework."

Mom nodded a bit.

„Well, then. Have fun, Sweetys. Should I bring something to drink and eat?"

I was about to shake my head but Emily already nodded.

„That'd be amazing, Mrs!"

Mom smiled at her.

„Call me Anne, Love."

I felt a bit lost.

„Where's your room, Harry?" Emily pulled me back to reality and I blinked a few times before pointing upstairs.

„I will show you." I mumbled and she followed me upstairs.

„Here it is."

I felt a bit uncompfy, showing her my room.

„Nice bed." She smiled and let herself fell onto the mattress.

I nodded a bit, brain completely overtaxed.

What was she trying to tell me with that?!

„I'm sure you sleep very good. My bed isn't half that compfy." She shook her head and giggled.

I just nodded.

„Well.....what don't you understand?"

She looked at me questionly.

„The homework? Maths?" I asked and she quickly nodded.

„Oh yeah, that."

She pulled out her book and a paper and searched for a pensil.

„Okay. Let's get started."

I sat down on my chair and she on the other one.

„What is it that you don't understand?"

Emily blushed a bit. „Everything."

„Okay. Well, that's a lot. We'll see if I can help you."

I cleared my throat and pulled the chair a bit nearer to her so I could explain it to her.

Mom came in to bring us the water and some sweets.

„Have fun." She said and winked at me.

I rolled my eyes.

„And then you have to do this and count them." I showed it to Emily at the drawing I made, hoping that I'd help her to understand it better.

Emily nodded but she didn't seem to fully listen.

„Was it too difficult? Should I explain it another time?" I carefully asked her and she shook her head.

„Did you...Do you understand it now?"

„You're very good at explaining things, Harry."

I shrugged my shoulders, flinching back a bit as she came nearer.
