My name is Kapprica Hamamoto. I'm a biped demon residing on the Boiling Isles. I take up the Oracle track at Glandus. But the kids there aren't nice to me. They're not nice to anyone but I can't take the constant harassment. I reside in the library under the watchful eye of Malphas, the only one who has taken care of me. I know of no one else in my family. All I have is my mother's staff, or so says the spirit in my crystal ball.
'Get out more,' Malphas encouraged. 'Make friends,' he says. Not really easy. I prefer avoiding conversation to stay safe. Although recently, a Blight has started working here part time. She's.. also not nice. At least to me. The children seem to love her. Her siblings are something. I mostly clean up after their messes when they come to pick up their sister. That one, Emira, has been trying to get close to me but I don't trust it. I mean I guess she seems nice. She could mean well but..
"But what? What's stopping you from taking up on your destiny?" Echoed an eerie voice through the darkness of the room.
Kapprica let out a sigh as they grabbed their crystal ball, illuminating the room and releasing the spirit within."Your predictions never work." Kapprica frowned, rubbing their arm.
"They're all true!" The ghoul exclaimed as she crossed her arms. "I-I may not know how precisely we get there but things do turn out well for you, Mx. Cries-A-Lot!""Beatrice, c'mon. There's not a lot to look forward to." Kapprica sighed as they face planted into their diary. "What am I supposed to do?"
"Kapprica, I'm off my shift. Do you wish for me to talk with you now?" Asked a voice from outside their room."Y-yeah, you can come in, Malphas." Kapprica chuckled softly, trying not to show distressed as they sent Beatrice back into her crystal ball.
Malphas opened the door and rode into their room atop his floating book, setting a lantern down on their table to further illuminate the room. "You can't be in the dark forever. You need to see what you wish to do."
"I know, I know. I should try to make friends." Kapprica let out a soft laugh, rubbing the back of their neck. "But I don't know how to-"
"I mean your room, Kapprica." Malphas chuckled. "How do you write in this condition?"."O-oh, yeah." Kapprica smiled softly. "Sorry, I didn't feel like getting the light."
"But indeed, you do need to find something else to do to gain confidence." Malphas spoke in a soft tone, walking over to their shelf and organizing their books."That's the problem!" Kapprica exclaimed. "I-I don't know what to do. I'm not that good as a witch, t-the kids at school hate me, a-and I don't know how to talk to anyone!" They buried their head between their knees and teared up softly.
"Hmm. Do you wish to attend Hexside?" Malphas asked as he looked over to Kapprica.
"H-huh..?" Kapprica looked up a bit, wiping their tears."I can transfer you to Hexside. You can try a new coven track. Witches and demons there wouldn't know you so you wouldn't be teased." Malphas smiled.
"Hmm.." Kapprica sat up and took deep breaths. "Y-yeah.. yeah! I-I would love a new start!" They smiled softly.
"There we go kiddo." Malphas pat Kapprica's head as they headed to the door out. "I'll talk to their principal and arrange everything. Have a good night. Make sure the roof isn't damaged, it might rain tonight."
"O-okay! Got it!" Kapprica exclaimed happily. "G-good luck! W-well I mean goodnight but yeah thanks!" They waved as he left the room. They grabbed their crystal ball and jumped on their bed giddy, squealing softly with joy.
"I'm going to a new school, Bea! I-I cannot believe it! I-I get a new chance!" Kapprica beamed as they summoned their friendly apparition."Congratulations! What track do you want to try now?" Beatrice asked as she patted their shoulders.
"I-I don't know. I might try the abomination track. It seems kinda cool." Kapprica chuckled nervously, rubbing her arm. "S-sorry if I choose to stick with it though. I may not be a good Oracle.."
