The color white has the meaning of purity and innocence. White is mainly the true balance of all colors. Cleanliness, simplicity, and perfection are all associated with this color.
Lost. Lost is all I could think of when I'm inside my mind. Books help with this feeling. It's like they put you on an escape route to leave reality. My focus has always been on what the mind can do. That's one of the main reasons why I'm in college for psychology. With that being said, let me get up and get ready.
I adjust my bonnet and begin my morning routine. Heading out of the bathroom I get my clothes on. "Jazlyn, are you up!", I shout across the room. "Yes, Mother", she says with a hint of sarcasm. I grab my bag, the book I'm reading, my keys and head out to the living room. Simi and Marjani have already left. Jazlyn heads behind me as we get to our classes. I major in psychology and Jazlyn is into biology.
My professor has always favored me. Not in a creepy way. He's always looked out for me and helped me in places I was lost. Today he talked about the process of unfolding the mind. This class has guided me to my passion, and I'm very grateful for that.
* A few hours later*
Gathering my stuff to head out. I met my group at our place. Our place is a cafe called "At Times". It's black-owned and serves that one Pinterest board aesthetic. Sitting down at the table they're talking about something that happened at the last football game.
I understand football ( hint at me being a saints fan ), but the Uni of Penn doesn't excite me. The football team isn't bad, but I only really support Jazlyn's boyfriend. Simi only goes, so they can scout out their next victim. Marjani only goes because her girlfriend (Lex) loves football. I never go with them. Why? Maybe because I can support Akiel from home and read my current book. ( A Star Is Bored. I loveee Charlie btw )
Inserting myself in the conversation, " Don't yall ever get tired of the same conversation".
"NO!", they all shout in unison
" You know if you ever came to a game you could finally release the cobwebs forming in that coochie", says Simi.
" If you ever stopped going to a game, maybe one of your victims would stop asking us when you will answer the phone again." I snap back at Simi
" Touche," Simi replied.
" While we're on the topic of games, Akiel and I decided that we and his friends should hang out," says Jazlyn.
" Omgg I love that idea. Lemme text Lex" Marjani states
Simi smirks while saying, " He's going to bring the fine homeboys right?"
" Helllll to the No," I say
They all snapped their heads towards my way.
" Y'all are well aware of my opinions towards big group activities, so don't do that," I say
" Come on Zale, it's one night and if you ever feel the want to leave, we'll do just that," Jazlyn says
I ponder about it because I rarely even go out with them. She said we can leave when ready, so one night shouldn't hurt.
I roll my eyes and say, " What are we supposed to doing that night"
" Well, Kiel wanted to go TopGolf, but I decided if we do that we should go out to eat." Jazlyn says
The idea doesn't sound bad, and I can play golf, so I should be good.
I exhale and tell them, " Yeah, that doesn't sound bad. I'll go. When are we going though?"
They start squealing and Jazlyn spoke up and said, " This Friday "
Every time they got out it's usually different. Guess since I'm included it will definitely feel different.
