Spy School: Meet City Spies (indefinite hiatus)

Chapter 2: City Spies

ALSO: Please read City Spies before reading this book. Unless you want major spoilers.

Brooklyn POV:

Umbra strikes again. This time, they seem to have an ally. SPYDER, I think they're called. Also has the same motivation as Umbra, but it really seems like they're set on even more than making money. I let out a tiny groan. Great. Just more to deal with. But even worse, Mother told us that there is a group of agents that are going to be joining us on this quest. Supposedly they knew SPYDER more than we did, and have been fighting them for a year or so. Sydney had thrown a fit when she heard the news.

"WHAT! YOU'RE BLOWING OUT COVER TO A BUNCH OF AGENTS THAT AREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW WE EXIST?? AND THEY AREN'T MI6 AGENTS EITHER! THEY'RE CIA AGENTS! THAT'S EVEN WORSE! WHAT KIND OF SECRETS COULD THEY BE HOLDING? WE CAN'T TRUST THEM! AND WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU HAVE ON THEM ANYWAYS?" She had yelled.

"I don't know." Mother had sighed. "Tru gave this order and since she's my superior...I can't do anything about it. She hasn't told me anything about the agents."

Sydney had then stormed off to her room and has only come out for dinner, and she kept giving dirty looks at Mother. It was nighttime now, and the new agents were to arrive tomorrow evening, during dinner. There were seven of them, Mother had said, so we had to make twice the regular dinner size for out 'guests' if we could call them that. I was most definitely annoyed by this, but I kept thinking that it would be okay. They weren't going to stay at our house, thank God, but were staying in a motel down the street.

I sighed and drifted off to sleep.

Ben POV:

We were on a plane, a commercial flight, instead of our regular private jet thing. I didn't mind. We were headed to Great Britain, once again, to try and thwart SPYDER. They supposedly joined forces with an organization called Umbra, and a group of spies that had been chasing after them for a long time. They were in the MI6, and was kept a secret from most of the MI6. Catherine didn't give us much information. All she said was that one of the higher ups named Tru said that they needed to meet us and join forces.

I felt pretty good. I was glad to finally meet someone from the MI6, besides Catherine. I was honestly kind of nervous too. To meet other people, I don't know was a bit weird to me.

I looked around at my friends. Mike was on his phone, watching YouTube. Erica was staring out the window, probably planning an escape route should anything go wrong. Zoe was asleep, slightly snoring, with an eye mask. Alexander was asking a flight attendant, "You don't happen to have some...caviar, do you?"

Typical Alexander. Cyrus seemed to be surveying everyone on the plane, and Catherine was typing into her phone, possibly messaging this Tru person. After a series of Joshua, Dane, and the others, (Who are now shipped off to maximum security prisons) Murray had finally gave us the key to defeating SPYDER. Unfortunately, Catherine received an email saying that SPYDER had now joined forces with Umbra.

The only information that we had gotten from Catherine was that the group was called City Spies.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep thinking about the City Spies.
