Sry for the short chapter, there wasn't much I could think of to add on to this one lol
We put up a strong fight, as we usually do, but I highly doubt that even with Erica doing her best, we probably couldn't get past the swarm of guards. They just kept on coming. It was like when we were at the Pentagon, with an entire army of soldiers and too many to defend.
One of them hit me on the head and I fell unconscious.
Timeskip:
I woke up in a cell. I groaned. I had woken up to this one too many times. I looked around; I was alone. I immediately began to worry that my friends were in trouble. Only then did I notice that I was tied up. I struggled against my bindings, but no such luck.
Then, a man entered the room. He looked me up and down and glared at me.
I tried to look surprised. I knew exactly who this man was a part of, but I feigned confusion anyway.
"Who are you?" I asked. I'm not going to lie, but I was feeling a bit nervous right now, even though this was supposed to be the plan.
"You don't need to know that." He said briskly.
I glared at him. "Where are my friends?" I asked.
"I'm asking the questions here," He responded. "So, what were you doing here?"
"Nothing." I said as innocently as possible.
It didn't work. Not that I expected it to.
"Don't lie to me boy," He gritted his teeth. "Tell the truth...or I'll have to take more...extreme measures."
"Fine..." I started to make up a lie but was cut off by a buzzing noise.
The man in front of me fished around in his pocket and pulled out a phone. He took one look at it and growled, "We're not finished here." and walked out the door.
Hopefully this goes according to plan... I thought as I watched him slam the cell door and lock it.
