your consolidation for last chapter.

It wasn't often that you and Hunter went on a date, so when you did, he always selected the most beautiful of places to take you.

Today he had gotten back from a long, difficult mission, and you were very happy to see him well and safe.

That very evening, he took you to a clearing in some woods he'd discovered that faced the seas.

It was a stunning sight, wildflowers glittered the clearing, ranging from bright happy yellows, to deep purples, to sky blue. Vines with pink flowers crawled up the trees surrounding the small clearing, dangling from branches that formed a canopy over you two. In the near center, was a tree stump, where Hunter led you so you could sit, facing the water.

"Woahh.. It's so pretty up here." You spike softly, as if not to break the tranquil peace that the place provided. It wasn't far from Bonesborough, yet you couldn't see any lights from it or ships sailing.

"I discovered this place on patrol," Hunter talked, sitting next to you and activating light glyphs. "I brought it up to Steve when I made my way back, and he encouraged me to take you here."

You chuckled.

"Steve knows this place would make me peaceful. He is my dad, after all."

Hunter didn't give a verbal reply, just reached for your hand and held it gently, as if he held it any tighter, you'd shatter like glass.

The sun began going down, and you two watched brilliant colors circle the sky, oranges and pinks and blues and purples, until the sun went down and the dark blues reigned supreme.

"Hunter, I love you." You mumbled, head now resting on his shoulder.

He laid his head on top of yours, replying; "I love you too, my darling."
