Chapter 8: ~ Held captive!? ~

"Where's your friend going?" Rudolph's mother asked.

"He said, he will meet us- M-me tomorrow," He replied.

"I see, let's go our own way then, we need to get far away from them somehow." She says.

"Yes, mother."

Tony curses under his breath as he sits behind Rookery's truck, with them arguing.

"I don't know how they managed to change the wires when the lights were directed to them!" Maney shouted.

"Then how did they do it!?" The latter shouted back at him.

Tony sighs, and just sat quietly, trying not to doze off.

"I don't know," Maney mumbled.

"Tsk, why did I ask you to help me again, all night you're just a menace." Rookery spat.

Maney kept quiet, and hugged himself, looking away from the old man beside him.

"Poor man." Tony thought.

Rudolph Sackville-Bagg's POV

It's night already, and I just woke up.

"Soma! Wait for me" I heard someone shout nearby, I was up on a tree, and I separated myself from my family because there was this group of humans walking around in the middle of the night, one was holding what seemed to be a rectangular object that emits light at either side.

"I wonder if that could hurt me too?"

I heard a dog bark beneath me. I thought fast and flew to another tree.

"Sonny? What are you barking at?"

I saw the dog morph into a human. An animagus... Thought they all died out, guess they're some left.

"I smelled something, but it's probably nothing." He said shaking his head.

"Alright then, Edgar? Where's the castle you were talking about?" Asked the one with blood-red hair.

"That way!" The one named Edgar shouted, zooming away in the said direction.

"Alright. Sonny, follow after him before he gets lost."

The said person nodded his head, morphing back to his dog form, and went on his way.

Their names were somewhat familiar to me, but it was too dark, I can't see what they look like.

"Who're you looking at Rudy?" Out of nowhere, Anna appeared behind me, startling me and I fell down the tree.

The humans heard it, I heard rustling, footsteps and I saw light being focused on me.

"Who are you and what are you?" The one with red hair asked me, I can see him and remember him very clearly now.

"Soma?"

"So that's where the smell I picked up earlier came from." The animagus said.

"Stand back Edgar." He said, extending out his arm, holding back the one with blond hair and blue eyes.

Anna jumped down in front of me and hissed at them.

"Don't touch him!" She screeched.

"Anna," I called out.

"Siblings?" The one called Soma raised a brow.

"Soma, calm down." Edgar passed by Soma.

"Edgar, you should stay put until we know what they are."

Edgar ignored Soma and walked to Anna.

"Can't say I warned you." Soma sighed.

"Hi! I'm Edgar-"

The animagus quickly morphed back into his Dog form and jumped in front of Edgar then barked at him.

"What's wrong, Sonny? They seem harmless." Edgar tilted his head at Sonny.

Sonny barked at him again.

"What? You're just gonna bark at me or what?" Edgar asked, folding his arms.

The animagus jumped up and down in annoyance and morphed back to his human form.

"Can't you see? Their pale skin, and dark red eyes! They're vampires Edgar!" He shouted at him.

"They are?" Edgar said innocently, peeking behind Sonny, looking at me then at Anna.

"Let him be, it's not like they're gonna attack any time soon." Soma glared at me.

"Bleh!" Edgar stuck his tongue out at Sonny and zoomed past him and Anna, holding out his hand out for me. "Need help?" He smiled at me, which reminded me of someone.

I took a hold of it, and he pulled me up.

"Thank you," I said and took a step back from him, as I see his boyfriend intensely glaring at me behind him.

"No worries! I'm Edgar, sorry if my boyfriend and our friend are being aggressive." He says glaring at his companions.

"Do you have a brother?" I suddenly asked.

"Yeah, why? Have you seen him?! Mom said he ran away last night, that's why we came here to look for him." He said squeakily.

"Tony?" I said, and he nodded his head.

"Would you have any idea, on where to find him?"

"I don't know exactly, but it's either he's around here looking for me or Rookery has him already captive."

"Who the hell is Rookery?" Soma asked walking up behind Edgar.

"A vampire exterminator, his family has been hunting down my family for generations, and Tony wanted to help, that's why he came with me. But this sunrise we parted because us vampires need to sleep during the day."

"This is Amos by the way, my boyfriend." Edgar smiled at me. I nodded at him.

"I'm Rudolph Sackville-Bagg nice to meet you!" I said and curtsied. "This is my little sister Anna."

"Nice to meet you," Anna said, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Hi, Anna! I hope we get along!" Edgar smiled.

"He's so cheery and kind."

"Why would they hold my little brother captive though?" Edgar tilted his head up at me.

"They'll use him as bait... For me..." I mumbled the last part.

"Tsk." I heard Sonny scoff a few feet away from me.

"Shut up Sonny." Edgar looked back at Sonny.

"What? I didn't say anything bad, geez." Sonny said and sat down leaning his back on a tree.

We heard a truck's engine zooming a few meters away from us where there is a road.

"Tsk, them passing by literally, stuck a garlic scent up my nose in a second," Sonny said, standing up.

"That's them! We need to plan on how to get Tony back now." I said, and Edgar nodded at me.
