| The Awakening of the Hero|

WHEN Link first pulled out the Master Sword from its pedestal, he ever expected his soul to be put into a slumber of seven years. He had thought that by pulling the sword he was able to immediately go and defeat Ganon so he could return back to the Kokiri Forest with his friends. Or friend. He never really had any other friend beside Saria and the grand Deku Tree, but after the death of the Deku Tree, Saria was the only friend he had left.
He wondered how she was doing while he was out adventuring Hyrule.
Upon pulling the Master Sword, his vision would go blank for a second. All he could see was white and hear the screams of thousands of people. He didn't know who or where the screams came from. All he knew was that within the screams of innocent people, he could hear the laughter of Ganondorf. An evil and malice laugh that can bring anyone chills down their spine. Then everything goes quiet.
"Wake up, Link" That was the first he heard after seconds of silence. A voice of male that brought a sense of tranquility after hearing the horrible screams of what sounded like hell itself. He didn't realize how tense he was until he felt his shoulder relax. He slowly opened his eyes, blinking a few times before looking around his surroundings.
His eyes widened as he quickly turned his head around. He never expected to wake up in a void-like room with waterfalls and water everywhere. He stood in the middle of a hexagon platform, on top of the symbol of the Triforce. In each corner of the hexagon were six other hexagons like symbols, each color coded and with unique designs.
The one that caught his attention was the yellow hexagon with an old man with a white beard and long brown robes that stood on top of.
Link came to learn the sage's name: Rauru, the Sage of Light. The ancient sage explained to Link that he was in the Chamber of the Sages within the Temple of Light, also commonly known as the Temple of Time. The sage explains everything from the beginning, any information that could help Link understand his fate and destiny of becoming the Hero of Time.
And when Rauru told Link to look at himself, Link never thought that his own body would age. He grew taller, his hair grew longer, his small pointy ears were now long, his rounded cheeks were replaced by a sharp jawline. At this moment he realized that he was no longer a kid. He was no longer an innocent and oblivious Kokiri that would chase butterflies and play hide-and-seek with Saria, but an adult with the heavy responsibility of saving Hyrule to become the next Hero.
It also made his heart ache knowing that he lost seven years of his life for the purpose of saving Hyrule. In a way, it almost made him regret ever pulling out the Master Sword.
After meeting and chatting with Rauru, he was sent back to the Temple of Time in the same location that he pulled out the sword. An empty sword pedestal awaited him. He almost felt like it was daring him to put back the Master Sword. Or perhaps it was his own feeling. After all, waking up after a supposed sleep of seven years and to be suddenly thrown to fight monsters was all too sudden and overwhelming. He would have thought that it would bring some excitement, a new adventure as an adult! But all he could feel was sadness.
Shiek, as he learned their name after snapping him out of his own train wreck of thoughts, was someone quite peculiar to him. Their mysterious aura, their mannerism, and their emotionless eyes, he knew that they weren't a person to joke around with.
Shiek was really helpful. He was able to get an idea of where the sages reside. At least he didn't have to run around clueless of where the sages were. But as Shiek went on with their dialogue, he couldn't help but feel like he was about to faint.
He was so shook and overwhelmed from his situation that he didn't realize the toll his body took during its rest of seven years. From the lack of food and movement, it made him feel ill and dizzy. And looking down at his arms and legs, he realized how skinny he was. And the sword and shield he carried was quickly becoming heavy.
Link snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Shiek call his name out, making him look up back at them before nodding. Then, the sound of footsteps can be heard.
Turning around to see a cloak figure running towards the exit of the temple made him suddenly move. He ran. He didn't know where he got this new energy from, but the adrenaline rushing through him made him feel slightly more alive than just seconds ago. He didn't want to run in the first place, but he got a gut feeling that they should follow them. Perhaps they could be assistants, or perhaps one of Ganondorf's servants. He could make them spit out some information. Outside the temple, he saw how the figure was about to escape, so he took out the boomerang he once used as a kid and threw it to the figure's feet.
With one loud thud, the cloaked figure was down.
When he heard the stranger first accuse him of being one of Ganon's minions, he felt somewhat confused and annoyed. And when the cloaked figure mentioned his physic, he couldn't help but feel hopeless. He knew that this person was right. There was no way he could just go ahead and fight Ganon in the state he was. He would need months of training and skill improvement to be able to face him.
He decided to prove himself by inviting this stranger to venture with him. He knew that he shouldn't just be trusting of strangers and ask anyone to just follow him around, but something about this person made him want to. Perhaps his own feelings of sadness and shock of his situation made him want to make a friend as a way to forget about his seven years lost. He didn't really know, so he buried down his feelings. Why would he want to be all sad and moody in front of his new friend?
"You know those shits are going to kill you" his new companion says as he walks down the stairs that lead to Castle Town. His new companion has tried to warn him about Redeads and their strategy of killing, but he knew he could easily go around them. It wasn't the first time he went through a group of them.
"Just trust me, I know what I'm doing" He says as he walks into the withering town. It was shocking to see how everything has completely changed within only seven years. The town that he once ran around as a kid was completely dull. And as mentioned before, filled with Redeads in each corner.
He quickly navigated through the town, ignoring the comments of his new friend. Within a minute, he made it safely to the other side of the town.
"See! I told you to trust me!" He proudly says out loud to his companion who was still on the other side of the town.
Before he could say anything else, his whole body felt like it was quickly spinning. His vision was slowly blurring. The once clear image of the town was only a blur of orange and red hues. The sound of the wind and moaning Redeads began to fade. He could only hear the sound of his quick breathing.
Before he knew it, his world went dark.
