- You -❛ ━━・❪ ❁ ❫・━━ ❜
NEVER had you thought that dragging a person could be so difficult. When you had first started picking up Link from the floor from where he fainted, you almost fell face first into the floor with him. It took a lot out of you to stand up and carry him on your back - kinda like a piggy back ride. Whatever he had on him plus the sword and shield made your muscles ache, and having to pass through the broken bridge out of Castle Town was another challenge itself.
Navi was flying around in circles begging for you to help him. She would rambled on and on, ringing like a bell every once in a while. As much as you wanted to just loot anything he had on him and run back to your camp, you had a feeling that you had to help this hopeless guy before he killed himself trying to save Hyrule.
Upon calling out his name, and trying to shake him awake, he wouldn't wake up. You knew he was alive due to how rapidly his chest was rising and how his hand twitched - almost like he was having a nightmare. In a way it made you feel pity for him.
In the end you decided to gather some water from the body of water that surrounded the town and dump it on his head. That quickly shut Navi up. Taking a few steps back, you watched as Link would wake up.
It had only been an hour after you two departed from the plains in front of Castle Town, having only gone a third of the way towards Lon Lon Ranch. There was around two hours left of walking and an hour before the sun sets meaning that the darkness would consume Hyrule - from what you estimated by the sun position.
You would have to start making a camp before it gets too dark. Good thing that monsters don't spawn in at night through Hyrule field, besides the few rare Poes you've encountered before.
The majority of the walk has been mostly quiet. Occasionally, you would hear Link or Navi say something which either results in Link snickering and Navi scolding him. Other times Link would go wander off to areas with tall grass to cut down or he'll follow a butterfly. You didn't stop to wait for him when he wandered off as he eventually would catch up to you anyways.
He always did.
Link was really childish from what you have recollected from him since you first met. He didn't really act his age, as most people your age. From what you have observed he was between seventeen to nineteen years of age - around the same age range as you - with a mindset of a child.
Link the proclaimed Hero of Time. 'Maybe he hit himself in the head' you thought as you turned around to take a quick glance at Link who was surprisingly a foot away. You had to refrain yourself from flinching from the closeness.
