As we're escorted to the door by the principal, Brianna and Giggles glance at each other nervously, but then smile as if something had just dawned on them. Oh, no. It looks like they've got one more trick up their sleeves.
When we get out into the hallways, the principal says, "Now, girls. What really happened in there?"
I smirk. "Yeah, Brianna. What really happened?" I say as I cross my arms.
But no one saw me do any of that, since I only did it in my head.
Brianna looks horrified (yes!),but then recovers (no!). "What really happened was when we tried to help Abigal up when she tripped, she pushed us away and said mean things to us. The only reason we didn't tell you the first time you asked was because we didn't want to embarrass Abigal." she says sweetly. What? That's lie's worse than before!
"Is that true, Phoebe?" the principal asks as she turns to Giggles.
"Yes, Mrs. Walker. The words she used were really hurtful." Giggles says as she nods with big, innocent eyes. Ugh. This is the most disgusting, sappy thing I've ever experienced. They even have fake tears in their eyes! I groan inwardly. These two make me sick.
"Well, Abigal, that wasn't a very nice thing to do, but you're always good. I think I'll let you off the hook. But just this once, okay, Abigal?" says Mrs. Walker. But I didn't do anything! I should get an infinity number of second chances for dealing with these two girls!
"But-" I try to explain.
"Thank you for your time, girls. Now, Brianna and Phoebe, go help Abigal clean up and have a nice day. Abigal, you'll have to go to the school store to borrow some clothes." the principal cuts in, and she walks away.
Are you kidding me? Now I have to wear the ugliest clothes ever and go let two of the meanest girls ever help me clean up in the bathroom all because of Brianna and Giggles. We walk into the school store in awkward silence while I feel sorry for myself. Once we get in, I only have to glance at the lady at the desk for her to see I need new clothes.
Her eyes widen. "Take all you want," she says. "The clothes are over there." I look over to where she pointed and see ugly yellow-brown tops and navy blue pants. I pick out a T-Shirt, a sweatshirt, and sweatpants, each with the Chase Middle School emblem on them. Brianna, Giggles, and I walk in the same awkward silence to the bathroom. When we get in, I rush to the sinks to get dried tomato sauce out of my hair, grease off of my arms, and mac'n'cheese off of my legs. When I'm cleaned up, I go into the stalls, where I take off my filthy and put on the ugly new ones. I decide not to put on the sweatshirt yet, though. Then, I get out of my stall and start running water onto my dirty clothes to clean them so I can bring them home later. Well, so much for Brianna and Giggles helping me. They're in the corner, whispering. Finally, I throw up my hair into a pony tail. Much better. Then, I see Brianna behind me in the mirror. "What do you want now, Brianna?" I say as bravely as I can.
"I just think your outfit needs a little something," she says. I turn around.
"Really?" I say, suspiciously surprised that she wants to make my outfit better. Brianna nods, and then I feel cold water all over my back. I yelp and turn around, seeing Giggles, who giggles, sprinkling the last of the water from her hands onto me. Ugh! I should have known!
"That's better." Brianna says, smirking. I am horrified. Now I have water all over me. Then, Brianna shoves me out the door. Agh! Why does my life have to be so horrible?
