Eddies heart sped up. The bottle had landed on Richie. Of course it landed on Richie.
"Smooch me up Kaspbrak." Richie laughed. putting his fists on his chin.
That shouldn't be attractive, the way he sits, but it was and Eddie felt a hot blush flush his cheeks.
"Alright." Eddie pulled himself together.
This was going to be fine. He'd wanted to kiss Richie all day, but everyone had been around. Eddie glanced at Stan who was trying not to laugh.
Eddie stood up and flung his hands in the air, like it was nothing.
"Come here Eds." Richie smirked, standing up and pulling Eddie towards him.
Richie wrapped his arms around Eddie and kissed him. Eddie kissed him back, hands dangling by his side awkwardly.
Eddie almost forgot that everyone was watching them until Bev let out a laugh.
Eddie pulled away from Richie, trying to hide his smile.
"You didn't have to full on make out." Stan snickered.
Eddie awkwardly sat back down. Richie winked and blew him a kiss. Eddie rolled his eyes and laughed though.
"Been practicing boys?" Bev snorted.
Eddie groaned, covering his face with his hands. Yes, they actually had been practicing.
"Yeah, you could say that." Richie mumbled.
"Hold on." Ben said, looking between Richie and Eddie.
"Oh m-my god." Bill gasped, finally putting two and two together.
Oh god. Eddie was going to have to say it. Fuck.
"Yep." Eddie smiled awkwardly.
"Really?" Mike asked, looking the least shocked out of everyone besides Bev and Stan.
"So... are you... wait- oh my god!" Mike smiled, pointing at Richie and then at Eddie.
Eddie looked over at Richie with a stare. Why wasn't he saying anything, god damn it!
"Stop pointing at us! Yes...okay! We are together, yeah, yeah no big deal!" Eddie sighed.
"Surprise!" Richie said, doing jazz hands with his hands.
Was he insane? How could he be calm right now? The answer to that was simple, he was Richie Tozier.
"And are you guys alright with that?" Eddie said awkwardly, cracking his knuckles.
"Yes, duh Eddie." Ben said, sounding a little shocked that Eddie would even suggest that he wouldn't be alright with it.
"Of course Eddie!" Mike said with a smile.
"Y-yea-yeah! I'm h-happy for you b-both!" Bill said looking over at Richie and then Eddie.
"You serious? Of course Eddie! We love you both!" Bev said, standing up and walking over to Eddie.
She pulled Eddie up and pulled him into a hug. Eddie hugged her back and let out a huge sigh of relief. He was so glad that everyone was okay with it. It was like a whole weight lifted off his chest.
Bev pulled away from Eddie and walked over to Richie.
"Ugh no. Bevy get away. Fuck off! No I swear-" Richie struggled as Bev pulled him into a hug.
"I'm so happy for you guys!" Bev said as she squished Richie in a tight hug.
"Ugh stop with the happy, lovey, dovey shit!" Richie squirmed trying to get out of her grip.
Richie finally gave in and hugged her back with a sigh. They both sat back down and it was silent for a while until Stan spoke.
"I am not surprised." Stan said.
"Of course your not surprised, I told you!" Eddie half yelled with a laugh.
"You told Stan?" Richie asked, not angrily but more just curiously.
"Mhm, and you told Bev?" Eddie said to Richie.
"I- wait, how did you know?" Richie pauses looking shocked.
"It wasn't that hard to figure out. Bev kept smirking at me and you two are close, I'm not surprised you told her." Eddie shrugged.
Richie and Bev smiled. Stan didn't even make an effort to smile. But when Eddie looked over at him he gave him a quick smile.
"Hello guys! I'm still here." Ben groaned.
"Yeah me too assholes." Mike rolled his eyes.
"Oops didn't notice Benny." Richie snickered.
Ben glared at him but ended up laughing. Mike just laughed and then everyone started talking and laughing. And soon the game of spin the bottle was forgotten.
It started to get later and colder and everyone decided to move back to the fire.
"Wanna play a game again?" Mike asked.
"Y-yeah sure." Bill said, he was sharing a chair with Bev even though there were enough chairs for everyone.
Bill had an arm wrapped around Bevs waist and Bev rested her head on his shoulder. They were cute together, but it made Eddie sad to look over at Stan and think about how he must feel. Eddie knew that feeling, and it's sucked.
Everyone else sat by themselves except Richie and Eddie. Richie sat on Eddies lap sideways, his legs dangling off the armrest of the chair.
"Let's play Rock Paper Scissors! Okay but the twist is, we go around to everyone until someone does the same attack then you have to kiss." Richie suggests, sounding proud of himself.
"Yeah, Rich that sucks." Stan made a face at him.
"No it doesn't suck, your just the no fun police." Richie stuck his tongue out at Stan.
"Fine! We will play your stupid game!" Stan said crossing his arms.
"Okay." Richie smirked.
"You guys in?" Richie asked the others.
"I guess we have to be." Mike joked.
Richie stood up and everyone followed.
"Okay find a partner." Richie said, grabbing Eddie by the shoulders and standing in front of him.
Bill and Mike partnered up and Stan and Ben partnered up. That left Bev by herself.
"Okay Bev you have to wait until we've all gone and then someone else has to wait." Mike said, noticing her without a partner.
"Hey! My idea, I'm telling everyone what to do!" Richie said.
"Fine, we bow down to you, king of the whole fucking world." Stan said dramatically, leaning down.
"Yes of course king Richie." Mike sighed, putting a hand onto his head and leaning down too.
"That's what I thought." Richie smirks.
"Here we go." Bev rolled her eyes.
The rest of the night, the losers chased each other around playing rock, paper, scissors, kiss. Everyone laughed and it was some of the most fun Eddie had, had since the summer started.
Eventually it became too late and it was decided that everyone would go to bed.
Eddie ran into his and Richies room and jumped onto the bed. Then Richie jumped on top of him.
"Hey!" Eddie said, batting at him.
"Shush." Richie whispered, pressing his lips to Eddies.
Yeah that definitely shut him up.
