You were scared of going inside the balloon house, but you were worried about Nikolai. What if he gets hurt?

The house itself was about as big as a classroom. Half of the house had a glass as a wall, so you could see the pool of small balls, and nothing suspicious looking so far inside. However the second part of the house wasn't shown, and painted on the opaque wall was a psychopath with a mask and a chainsaw covered in blood.

A loud music came from inside of that house, and it was a very repetitive circus song. It was so repetitive. Just the four same notes, enough to drive anyone who listen to this for too long insane.

The entrance where Nikolai entered was from the side of the opaque wall.

"N-Nikolai? C-can you hear me? It's dangerous here, let's leave! Are you here? Are you here?"

You shouted but you weren't sure if he could hear you over the music.

When you reached the entrance of the balloon house, you saw real chainsaws inside. They covered the walls, the ceiling, and you bet that they covered the ground too. However you couldn't see the ground because the pool was filled with balls.

The chainsaw weren't turned on, but you didn't want to dive from the board of the entrance because you were scared that they would suddenly turn on when you jump inside the pool of balls.

You saw Nikolai at the exit and decided to leave. However, the board you were on suddenly threw you inside of the pool!

You feared the chainsaws. You tried to leave as fast as you could, but you weren't used to move through so many balls, so you were awfully slow. One of you feet touched something hard on the ground, and it wasn't the ground.

It was probably a chainsaw!!

After what felt like an eternity, you finally manage to reach the exit. The chainsaw never got turned on, but the simple thought that they might have still made you shiver.

You saw Nikolai run who knows where, so you ran after him.

What was Nikolai doing? If he was just running, searching for an exit, you would understand. But why did he felt the need to go inside of that balloon house?

You shivered. Who was this man, you were running after?

You decided it was not important at the moment. Even if he was crazy, you needed to have someone by your side right now, you were too scared to be alone. And he was the only other person you saw in this hellish park.

"NIKOLAI! PLEASE WAIT!"

You screamed. This time he looked back at you with a "catch me if you can" look, and kept running.

That made you angry. We're in danger! What is he doing??

However, you were grateful he made you angry, because you were able to forget a bit about the constant feeling of fear you felt ever since you were here.

While running around, you discovered more and more creepy things about this place.

However, the most unsettling thing you noticed, besides the huge ferris wheel, was the location of the park itself. Beyond the park, there wasn't anything. No tree, no road, just a vast plain of nothingness.

You didn't notice it at first because you were in the middle of the park, but because you ran after Nikolai for at least 20 minutes now, you saw a good portion of the whole park.

You tried to convince yourself that because of the dark, you just missed the road and this place definitely had an exit.

You also managed not to think about it too deeply, because you were concentrating on not loosing sight of Nikolai.

During the chase, he would sometimes look back at you to grimace at you, which made you feel anger and comfort.

Despite his incomprehensible behavior, all you wanted to do was hug him and cry.

Maybe the stress made you kind of crazy. You didn't care you just wanted him to stop running.

Sometimes he would also throw one of the balls of the balloon house at you, and laugh, which made him run slightly slower. He also dance a bit here and there while running, and even did a cartwheel twice. He looked like he had so much fun.

However, you were now out of breath. The only thing that made you keep running for so long was the adrenaline, the fear of loosing sight of him and being all alone.

You couldn't do it anymore, you fell on your knees.

Only when you didn't move anymore that this idiot decided to stop running away.

"Eh? You're tired?"

You heard him say that in the distance, and he actually walked toward you.

Really? All you had to do was to stop running? This man was unsufferable.

You were out of breath and angry again. That damn clown!

He laughed, kneeled just next to you and patted your back. He was praising you for running for so long.

He was finally giving you what you wanted.

You really wanted to ask him so many things, but you were too busy catching your breath. All you managed to do was jump on him, and hug him tightly.

You didn't even care he tormented you, your fear of this place was stronger than your anger toward him after all.

He was warm. He was silent, which was unusual for him. After a few seconds, he returned the hug and comforted you.

"There, there, i am here, there there..."

After you calmed down, you two stopped hugging. You didn't really want to ask him because you were scared of the answer, but you had to;

"Nikolai... why did you run away?"

"Because it's fun to be chased after!"

"... Where are we? Do you know this place?"

"Hehehe! We're in De So Land, (y/n)!"
