8: New Year Surprise

Izuku stood on the cliff, where nearly 50 people stood too. They were all gathering to watch the New Year's Fireworks.  

Izuku looked down to his phone. It was nearly Midnight, and Bakugou still wasn't here. They had made plans to celebrate the New Year's together, since both pf their parents were planning on getting drunk at Midoriya's house. 

Therefore, the two boys' plans were: 

1- Watch the fireworks.

2- Head home.

3- Stay up until 4 AM watching movies.

4- Go to bed just in time for the adults to arrive. 

5- Sleep until dinner time.

6- Izuku returns home.

Midoriya sighed and put his phone away again. 15 Minutes. That's all that's left for Bakugou to arrive...

Just as the greenette was about to text him, he heard the familiar motorbike sound behind him. He turned around, and surely enough, down the hill, was Katsuki. He quickly took off his helmet, and ran up the hill, to the tip of the cliff. Izuku giggled. His friend seemed exhausted. 

"I... Ah, I made it." Bakugou puffed, pulling out a box from his pockets. 

He handed it over to the greenette. A box of Glow-Sticks. They used to play with those when they were kids. They had them around all the time!

Izuku smiled and pulled one out, cracking it to reveal a glowing blue color. 

Bakugou then took one too, his being green. 

The two boys spoke for several minutes, until the crowds started counting down. Izuku jolted up, happy. He started to chime in. Counting down the seconds left before the year changes. 

Bakugou glanced at his friend. He was so excited... Adorable.

"Come on Kacchan! 7! 6! 5! 4..." Izuku continued to cheer as he counted backwards, along with the crowd. 

Bakugou didn't chime in. He simply approached the boy, waiting for him to be done counting. 

"2... 1! HAPPY NEW YE-" Izuku was cut off by lips being softly pressed against his. 

Katsuki eventually pulled away before softly whispering something in the short boy's ear.

"Happy New Year."
