"So guys," Axel spoke, causing the group to look up at him.

The six of us sat in the library, now nearly empty, while it stormed outside. Surrounding myself with these people and the constant sound of rain and thunder outside made me feel safe.

Sometimes we would whisper, asking each other questions but it was silent most of the time, sort of peaceful.

"My father is hosting a masquerade ball this Christmas, and I was hoping that you guys would come." Axel grinned, eyeing us one by one. His gaze finally stopped at Luna, smiling and staring into her eyes. 

"Of course," the blonde beamed.

"Well we have to spend Christmas at the order-" Ron started rambling.
"We'll come," she smiled, interrupting him.

I glanced up from the textbook I was reading and eyed Hermione and Harry who suddenly seemed nervous. 

"Is there something wrong?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No nothing," Hermione lied. She was bad at lying.

"Come on if this is about Severus then I have sensed something is off too." I suddenly blurted out. I slapped my mouth shut in realization.

"Wait you've noticed too? Well, I mean you are his daughter but..." Harry spoke with wide eyes. 
"Yeah, something's off with him and Malfoy," I shrugged, not really thinking too much about it.

"But don't worry. I'm sure my dad is one of the good guys," I smiled, "The order was everything to him."
That helped Hermione and Harry loosen up a little.

"Since when did you have that?" Hermione suddenly snapped, slapping a half-eaten muffin out of Ron's hands. 
"Bloody hell Hermione, I was about to finish that!" Ron mumbled with his mouth full.

A few months have passed. Snow started falling as the students of Hogwarts packed their luggage for the winter break. 

"Are you sure you don't want to join us this year?" Onyx frowned, staring at me as I stuffed my belongings inside my trunk. 
"I'm gonna stay with Luna and Axel. With everything going on with me and Lorenzo, I think it's best if I don't come this year," I sighed as I placed packed my clothes.

As we finished packing, the sounds of Slytherin students in the common room gestured that it was probably time to leave. 

Onyx grabbed her trunk and I grabbed mine and we headed towards the common room.

Severus Snape stood there with a soft smile, waiting for me. 
"Hey," I smile, running over to give him a hug.
"Take care Sera. If anything happens to you I will not hesitate to hex Berkshire," Severus suddenly said with a serious expression which made me giggle. 

I gave him a kiss on the cheek before grabbing onto Onyx's arm, and the both of us walked through the halls towards the train station. 

"You wanna sit with us?" Onyx asked as the students started to pile onto the crimson train. I shook my head no and she pulled me into a big hug before boarding the train.
