Natalie Hartley gave an enormous smile at Emily and Jess. "Don't you think this is a little mean?" Sam inquired, a guilty expression drawn on her face. "I mean it's not her fault she has a huge crush on Mike!"
"Mike is Em's." Jess insisted, "I'm just looking out for my girl." She placed the note on the counter and Emily, Jess, and Natalie walked off giggling. Sam treaded behind them.
The four of them made their way to the guest bedroom where Ashley, Matt, and Mike were waiting. Josh and Chris were passed out in the kitchen. Ashley ducks behind a partition giggling. Natalie gives Mike one look before climbing under the bed with Jess and Emily. Matt gets the go-pro ready and steps into the wardrobe. "Hannah!" Shouted Sam from the other room.
Mike waits for Hannah, and soon the group hears footsteps in the hallway. Hannah slowly opens the door, "Mike, I got your note." She said quietly.
Mike looked up grinning at the innocent girl, "How about we start with a little making out and see where it goes from there?" He suggested. Hannah stared up at him and reached for the buttons at her shirt, unbuttoning them, "Oh hell yeah."
Hannah smiled at Mike and Jess let out a peal of laughter, covering her mouth "Oh my gosh! She's taking off her shirt!" She exclaimed quietly. Emily as well let out a laugher and Natalie controlled herself from doing so.
"Oh my gosh!" Hannah shouted, covering her chest with her arms. Matt popped out of the closet, and the 4 girls revealed themselves, "Matt? Natalie!"
Natalie stared at her best friend a large smile on her face. It's just a prank, right? She remembered the last conversation she had with Hannah, not even an hour beforehand.
- flashback -
Hannah smiled at Natalie, "You look gorgeous Han, you don't need to look like Emily for Mike to like you." Natalie reassured her.
Hannah sighed quietly, "I sure hope so." She admitted, "But thank you, Nat." At the time Natalie didn't know Emily and Jess wanted to prank Han. She just wanted a chance for Emily to like her.
- flashback over -
Sam barged into the room, "Hannah." Sam sighed, "It's just all a stupid prank."
"It went too far," Mike admitted, biting down on his lip.
Hannah turned towards the door running out, "You guys are jerks! You know that!" Sam shouted and went after Hannah. The group exchanged looks before following Sam out. They watched Hannah run into the woods.
"Hannah!" Natalie shouted, "Han!" She looked out into the woods, but there was no sign of Hannah coming back.
Beth burst outside "It's just a prank Han!" Emily shouted.
Beth curiously looked at the group, "Where's my sister going?" She asked, her face full of worry and concern.
"She can't take a joke," Jess said, crossing her arms.
"She overreacted!" Emily admitted.
Beth stared at them "What the hell happened! Tell me!" Beth demanded.
Mike sighed, "We were just messing about Beth." He told her.
Beth stared at them all in disbelief "You guys are jerks!" She yelled and ran after Hannah.
"Should we go after them?" Mike asked.
Sam rolled her eyes, "I think you're the last person she wants to see right now." Sam told him and they stared at each other.
They all went back into the lodge and waited for the twins to arrive back. But they never did. That's when they all actually started getting worried. Josh was too drunk to understand what they were trying to tell him. Same with Chris.
They didn't wanna wait until morning, they wanted to get them back, or at least most of them did. Jess and Em still seemed to think they were overreacting.
The twins never did return. They never would either. The group went home at the end of that weekend, not knowing if the twins were okay. The Washington's considered Beth and Hannah missing after Josh explained everything to them.
The mountain was searched, several times but they never found any sign of the twins. The group sorta split after that. They mildly stayed in touch. Of course, Ashley, Chris, and Natalie were still in touch. Emily and Mike split after the disappearance. Which gave Jess the chance to make her move on Mike.
Natalie tried her best to stay in touch with everyone but after 3 months she barely talked to anyone besides her brother and Ashley. Josh barely spoke a word to anyone but Chris and Sam. The only two weren't a part of the prank.
Natalie spent the next year with survivors' guilt. Until she received a message in the group chat from Josh.

Mike Munroe: Cya their bud.
Chris Hartley: Same here.
Natalie Hartley: If Chris is going I don't have a choice

Natalie was surprised Josh invited them back up. After barely speaking a word to any of them the past year. But she was mildly excited. Everyone said they would come.
