It was clear something had shifted in the house, while Edward was carrying out business as usual. Louis was different. He was still, almost like he was dead. This had been going on for a few days. Him spending most of the day staring up at the ceiling, out the window or at a wall. His gaze was blank like Louis had lost something, or maybe he gained something new that he hadn't realised yet.

The first day was filled with Louis shaking and crying, he didn't utter anything and he didn't leave the bed. His mind felt like it was being scratched at. Louis's mind felt like it had some crazed animal in it, like a wolf, who was wreaking havoc in his mind. Everything was burning, yet, he still felt like ice.

Louis's functioning was almost robotic after that, barely speaking or making a sound. Only ever taking breaks from his staring to mindlessly cook dinner for 'Harry' and pick at his plate. He usually ended up throwing his food out. He was like an empty vessel.

Edward didn't mind though, hell, he barely cared. It made him feel powerful again. Not having to act to satisfy Louis as much as before. A denial being present in him, as he knew he did like making Louis happy. He huffed at his new realisation.

It was the fourth day after dinner had been eaten, Edward moved around the house until he found Louis. He was sitting on a chair upright and staring out at the sea. There was no moon to light up and reflect against the water, creating an abyss like look. One that seemed to entrance the small boy.

"Louis. Little one, we are going out tonight. Yeah? Master has business and he wants you to join." Edward smiled as he walked over and brushed his fingers through Louis's hair, much flatter than its usual volume. "I need you to go shower and get into the clothes ready for you."

Louis peeled his eyes away to look up at 'Harry'. "Okay." He whispered and stood to go and do what was told of him. Edward had left out a black satin blazer with matching black shorts and a tube top. With black boots to go with it. He knew the outfit would hug Louis's figure in a beautifully sinister way.

"You really think he'll do it again?" Zayn questioned from where he had been leaning against a wall and observing the interaction. His role was to drive the 'couple' to the destination he had prepared during the day and to only help out if any problem was raised.

"Yes. I know he will." Edward hummed and pulled on his own blazer, straightening himself out. "I'm sure you know the certain rush, high even, that comes with taking the life of another.  Louis's adrenaline spiked and his coming down was hard. Much more than I anticipated." Edward spoke absentmindedly, ensuring his cuffs were perfect. Always wanting to be presentable.

"Yes, I do. You'll build new pathways for him then, get his high back up. Make him function on a new level." Zayn pointed out before he heard footsteps, moving to prepare the car for them to leave. All Zayn had was Edward, he owed the man his life and he served his repayment in luxury and in his own high. So doing this came without second thoughts.

"Oh my little angel, more like the devil. You look ravishing." Edward complimented and pressed his lips to Louis's, he didn't even care if the boy didn't kiss back right now. He looked ravishing, it almost made Edward want to rip it all off and force him down onto his hands and knees. He could save that for later though.

Louis simply nodded, lacing his fingers with Edwards and heading into the car. His mind didn't even bother to question what they were doing or where they were going. He remained in that motionless like state throughout their journey.

Louis only returned to a more state of consciousness when his door opened and there was 'Harry' with his hand out for Louis to take, which he did. As he stepped out of the car, he noted the surroundings. It looked like some warehouse, not overly rundown but part of him suspected the outward appearance was done on purpose.
